Operating minibuses in the Malaga region, we have gained a reputation for reliability and excellent

The airport transfer industry has

seen enormous growth over

the past decade as travellers

become more independent

and have been led away from

traditional package holidays.

As a holiday destination, Spain

continues to be extremely

popular. 130 million passengers

flew in and out of Spanish

resorts last year, a rise of 2%

on the previous year. This is

despite the recession. You can

imagine the huge opportunity

that this represents.

Most passengers now book

their flights on the internet and

b-met offer them the opportunity

to plan all their transportation

in advance and usually with an

English speaking driver.

Our customers prefer the fixed

rates which we offer avoiding

unpleasant haggling with local

taxi drivers.

Also, families are now very

safety-concious and are

increasingly aware that unlike

us, Spanish taxis do not offer

child seats.

We have also benefited from

the change in tourism trends

towards group holidays. A large

proportion of our custom is

made up of golfers, all male and

all female groups who often visit

us two or three times a year for

long weekends.

Our services are particularly

useful for customers arriving

with sports equipment e.g.

golf bags, for whom multiple

taxis would work out as a very

expensive option.

There are 49 airports in Spain, (half of which could be

considered major sites) and we are confident that our success

here in Malaga could be reproduced in any of these areas. The

franchisee would be investing in an already proven business

with numerous travel agents and golf tour operators.

(crucial if you want to run a transport-

As a franchisee you will need to be enthusiastic about

living and working in Spain. This may mean moving your

family to a completely new location. If that’s what you

want, then we can help. Running a transport business is

not to be taken lightly and potential franchisees must not

underestimate the amount of hard work and dedication

that will be required. A PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle)

license will be required. This test can be taken in the UK

in English and is a fairly simple test.

In addition, there will be the necessary investment. It

is difficult to raise funds here in Spain (without Spanish

property ownership) so we recommend that necessary

funds be raised in the UK. Once these key issues have

been dealt with, you are then in a position to look at b-met

as a serious business option.

W h a t i s m y r o le i n t h eb u s i n e s s ?

The b-met franchisee will be responsible for the

delivery of all services. You will be responsible

for dealing with customer enquiries and bookings

etc. and in the early days we envisage franchisees

doing some of the driving themselves. Franchisees

will be responsible for the management of the

business on a day-to-day basis. There is also an

accounts and administration role which you will

need to deal with effectively to ensure that the

business is run smoothly.

We will provide the help and training necessary

in the day-to-day delivery of services and it is

important for franchisees to remember that whilst

they are in business for themselves, they are not

by themselves!

near a specified airport. Only one

franchise will be allowed per airport,

which means that franchisees have

the opportunity to build a substantial

business over the long term.

Our management fee is a fixed fee as

opposed to the usual 10% as we feel
