Senior Vice President - Business OperationsManaged the Engineering, Operations and Finance departments of this international satellite communications company. Reorganized and restructured network management and led the development of the systems necessary to run the network and provide all tracking and network statistics. SDN Global was bought by Satcom Group Holdings in April 2008. Noteworthy achievements include:

Grew revenue production from $700K to $9.3M in three years. Developed the plan to financially restructure the company and wrote the private placement memorandum. Raised

$1M in equity funding. Hired and replaced 30% of the staff to get the right people in the right jobs. Built a world class Network Operations Center to manage the global network. Managed the deployment of networks in such remote places as Iraq, Afghanistan, Africa and Sumatra. Developed a service for ships at sea and deployed it in the Caribbean and the Mediterranean Sea. Built sophisticated Mobile Command Vehicles for such companies as Chevron and the Southern Company.

Protos, Inc., Atlanta, Georgia 1992 – 2004

Founder and President Redesigned the short-range coastal marine network for the Coast Guard. Developed an advanced database and user interface system for FedEx Ground which was installed in 9,000

handheld scanners. Developed a VME and C++ based conversion processor to interface IP to secure UHF satellites for use on Navy

vessels in the Pacific.

AvData Systems, Inc., Atlanta, Georgia 1988 – 1992A satellite data communications company which used the shared VSAT hub architecture. The AvData network maintained a very high level of performance for 60 demanding corporate customers including Genuine Parts, Georgia-Pacific, Bank South, Burlington Industries and Cincinnati Bell. AvData was eventually sold to ITC Deltacom for $28M in stock.

Founder, President and CEO Conceived and directed the early growth of this satellite communications company. Raised $8M in equity

financing. Successfully sold against such competitors as AT&T, MCI, and GTE. Won the Georgia Pacific data network away from AT&T for the first time in 50 years.

Scientific Atlanta, Atlanta, Georgia Satellite Communications Division

Manager of Research and Development - VSAT Systems Headed the group which developed an advanced satellite communications system (VSAT) which grew into a

multi-million dollar business for Scientific Atlanta Managed the relationship with Matsushita to produce the RF portion of the system

Isacomm., Atlanta, GeorgiaA national voice and data network company which was bought by US Sprint and became their national accounts division.

Manager Advanced Data Systems My group built some of the first full scale video conferencing rooms in the world. This service eventually grew

into the Meeting Channel Network of US Sprint with over 2,000 rooms Managed the design and implementation of a large Ku band satellite network for the Meeting Channel. Successfully implemented a 1.5 Mbps satellite link between two computers which were 1000 miles apart.

Engineering Manager -Data Stations and Terminals Responsible for all engineering aspects of all Bell modems and customer data terminals.
