TECHNICALSPECIFICATIONS OF MATERIALSCARCASSES - PLINTHS - HINGES

PRESSWOOD CARCASSESWaterproof 19 mm panels made of wood-particles and treated with high basic weight, melamine resin. European Regulation Class E1 compliant. Finish: ivory or grey; rear border: melamine; front border: co-extruded plastic matter with dust protection gasket.Finish: graphite grey open-pore oak; rear and front border: melamine of the same colour. All presswood carcasses are equipped with a device for controlled closure(Blumotion), mounted on one or more hinges.

Under-sink base units are equipped with a printed aluminium sheet protecting against possible water infiltration. Customised under-sink baseunits are not equipped with pressed aluminium sheets. All bracket holes are equipped with metallic bushes of galvanised metal. For base unit carcasses with side panels h. 720 or 790 mm and wall units h. 720, 880 or 1.160 mm a continuous handrail of anodised aluminium is available.

BACK PANELSIvory and grey presswood: Varnished Medium Density (thickness 3.5 mm)Graphite grey oak presswood: Medium Density (thickness 3.5 mm); melamine finishing.

Carcasses of corner base units 1.000x1.000 and of tall units with sliding doors are delivered disassembled; back panels are finished according to the finish of the carcass - melamine-finished presswood and tinted multi-layer birch wood (thickness 8 mm).

SHELVESPresswood (ivory, grey or graphite grey oak). 19 mm presswood with same finish as carcass.

Upon request and additional payment all carcasses can be equipped with shelves made of 16 mm extruded aluminium.

Shelves for carcasses with sliding doors are made of chromium-plated wire.Low-voltage halogen lamps light up the inside of the tall unit when the door is opened. The bottom is made of pressed aluminium.Corner base units are equipped with revolving baskets of chromium-platedmetallic wire.

PLINTHSMade from extruded aluminium. Stainless steel treated with satin finish exclusive to Boffi. Height: 80, 120, 150 and 210 mm. (Adjustment h. 80 mm: -0/+10 mm h. 120/150/210 mm.: -5/+20 mm)Plinths come with a telescopic system that allows the user to adjust them both in height and in depth. In addition they are equipped with a gasketlocated between the plinth and the floor (registered decorative and functional Boffi patent).

HINGESThe hinges are made of 1.2 mm nickel-plated, pressed metal sheets. They are equipped with spring mechanisms for closing and opening and are adjustable in depth, height, and width. They allow for a 95° aperturewith built-in Blumotion and 165° aperture with Blumotion on the carcass. The hinge board is made of die-cast alloy and fixed on the side panel.

GLIDES FOR DRAWERS AND HEAVY-DUTY DRAWERSThe glides are made of galvanised steel and run on stabilised carriages. Total extraction. Capacity: 30 kg 1.200 mm drawers and tall units with pull-out doors have a capacity of 50 kg.

DRAWERS, HEAVY-DUTY DRAWERS AND INTERNAL DRAWERSMade of stainless steel. Totally extractable hollow side panels with optimal sliding mechanism. Drawers, heavy-duty drawers and internal drawers are all equipped with a controlled closure device (Blumotion). The bottom is made of a 16 mm. wood-particle panel treated with grey melamine resins. Rear panels are in metal. The bottom is equipped with a non-toxic, anti-slip mat. Heavy-duty drawers are equipped with side retention units made of metallic chromium-plated bars. Drawers and heavy-duty drawers can be equipped with special accessories (see list).Drawer width can be customised, depth cannot. Width adjustment is due to rear panel made of 16 mm melamine treated wood-particle panels.

INTERNAL DRAWERS DESIGNED BY BOFFIExtruded, coupled aluminium drawers. Equipped with corner release junctions. Bottom made of a 16 mm wood-particle panel treated with greymelamine resins and covered with a non-toxic mat. The internal drawer is compatible with all carcasses with hinge-mounted doors. The drawers are available in two different heights and can be used together with the 'Storage System' accessories designed by Boffi. Compatible with containers w. 300, 450, 600 and 900 mm. The drawer slides are concealed.

“STORAGE SYSTEM” ACCESSORIESSide and back panels are made of 8 mm wood-particle panels assembled using a 45° folding technique and are treated with an open-pore graphite grey oak melamine resin. Dividers are made of naturally extruded anodisedaluminium. The system includes various units with width compatible both with the internal and normal drawers. These accessories cannot be used in base units with wall-unit depth. Customised units are not available.

FEET FOR BASIC BASE UNITS AND TALL UNITSMade of galvanised, chromium-plated steel and nylon with optional heightadjustment. Feet base made of plastic resin, pressure-mounted onto the under-side of the unit.

SHELF BRACKETSMade of stainless steel. Equipped with a device that ensures a secure and precise fixing of the shelf.

WALL MOUNTING FOR WALL UNITS OR SUSPENDED BASESMade of reinforced polyamide resin.Internal regulating devices are made of galvanised chromium-plated steel. The fixing device is made of die-cast aluminium.

PLATE-RACK FOR WALL UNITSMade of polished stainless steel with removable drip tray; plastic holders for plates, saucers, cutlery and glasses.

IRONWAREMade of anti-oxidation treated nickel-plated metal.

ELECTRICAL APPLIANCESBoffi S.p.a. recommends a list of electrical appliance brands: AEG - ELECTROLUX - ELICA - GAGGENAU - MIELE - SCHOLTES - SIEMENS - WHIRLPOOL - ELICA hoods. All recommended brands are in compliance with EC standards, 220-230 V - 50 Hz voltage.Prices of finished units and doors for electric appliances placed under the worktop or doors for hoods include installation.Upon request Boffi produces carcasses with housing compatible with customers' electrical appliances.

BURNER ADJUSTMENTAll burners use methane gas. The use of different gases must be specified upon order.

The size and position of the handles are at the discretion of the designer. If they will be notspecified, the handle would be standard positioned. On hinged doors please attention to thehorizontal centred handles: on next base units they can interfere while opening. On the frontpanels of drawers, heavy-duty drawers, tall units with pull-out doors and dishwashers handlesmust always be horizontal and centred. In the LT model the handle is central positioned,recessed into the door or frontal and wide as the door/frontal (handle wide= door or frontal

panel wide -120 mm which is 60+60). This handle can be used with varnished or lacquered doors,wood, Corian® or aluminium doors. The Xila handle, recessed into the door or frontal panel, W. 120 mm. can be used too. Right or leftpositioned when mounted on hinged door, central on drawers-heavy-duty drawers-dishwashersand on tall units with single pull-out door. This handle can be used with varnished or lacquereddoors, wood, Corian® or aluminium doors.

Tall units of XILA 2.3 model have the “L”-typehandles, recessed vertically in the doorthickness. The handles of drawers arerecessed horizontally in the drawerthickness, centrally positioned.The door opening is allowed thanks to a 19mm spacer with frontal profile in naturally anodised aluminium. The composition of tall units has always tohave finished end-of-composition panels.
