NAPLAN

All students in Years 3 and 5 will sit the NAPLAN tasks soon. Students need not be overly nervous about these tasks. They aimed

at helping the school identify individual student strengths and areas for development, as well as whole school need. Any parents wishing

to seek clarification about NAPLAN please see Mr Richard before the end of next week. This year our students are completing the

paper test format of NAPLAN.

Nationally Consistent Collection of Data

All schools in Australia are required to participate in the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability. The

national date collection is an annual collection that counts the number of school students with disability, and the level of

reasonable educational adjustment they are provided with. This national data collection collects information about students with disability in a consistent, reliable and systematic way. The national data collection draws on and reflects the ongoing work teachers and education staff do to support students with disability. If you would like further information about the NCCD, or do not wish for your child to be included in the data collection, please contact the

school. Additional information about the national data collection is available on the Department of Education’s website: https://education.nsw.gov.au/teaching-and-learning/disability-learning-and-support/personalised-support-for-learning/national-disability-data-collection
