There are two types of serial number one is of 16 digits and other 20 digits.

1. for 16 digits serial number add '03' in start of serial number then take first 8 characters, for example: the serial number of LPUF-21 card is 030KJY10AB000789 which is of 16 characters so you can add 03 in start and the bom code will be the first 8 characters that is: 03030KJY

2. for 20 digits you will remove the first two characters, for example the serial number of LPU is 210231623410A1001608 so we will remove the first two characters and the bom code will be next 8 charachters that is: 02316234
