  Bonas and Beyond: Haiti From September 23 to October 12, 2015, twenty Haitian students will be on the St. Bonaventure University campus for an educational and cultural exchange. This will be the kickoff of Bonas and Beyond. We will also be launching an online- not for credit learning program to help educate people while also making friends and associates from around the globe. Classes will be taught on a volunteer basis by professors, students, and experts from the Bonaventure community. The classes will be in English and available online for free. Classes during the kickoff conference 1. Accounting 2. Economics* 3. Finance 4. Marketing 5. Environmental Science 6.     HaitiansattendingareresponsibleforthecostsoftraveltoandfromWNY.OncetoBuffalo,wewillcovertheirfood,lodging,andcostsoncampusandforlocaltraveltoeventshere.InitialfundingfortheprogramisfromthePacioliScholarprogram,St.BonaventureSchoolofBusiness,andBonaResponds.

    BonasandBeyondisnotonlyintheclassroom.Itisaculturalandlearningexchangethatwilltakeplaceoutsideoftheclassroom. Haitianparticipantswillgotolocalbusinessesandfarms,touristsights,andmuseums.Wewillalsobemakingpresentationsatlocalschoolsandtocommunityprograms.

    ThemesforBonasandBeyondincludeequality,continualimprovement,education,economics,sustainability,andmakingtheworldabetterplace.Toachievethesegoals,theHaitianswillworkwithTheWarmingHouse,BonaResponds,andHaitiScholarships.
