PREPARATIONDo not sand MDF.

Based on the surface you’re using, if necessary, sand surface until smooth. Apply Multi-Purpose Sealer and lightly sand again to knock down any raised grain.

PAINTING INSTRUCTIONSBasecoat surface Chalky Finish, Inheritance. Do a wash over the entire surface using Raw Sienna. Let set for a minute and using a damp cloth wipe off excess until you have the color fi nish you desire. The longer you allow the wash to dry before wiping off the deeper the fi nished color.

Position Floral Corner stencil along edge of surface and stencil using Raw Sienna. Reposition along edge and stencil until edge is completely stenciled. Place the stencil on top of existing stenciling making sure to match exactly. Using Heritage Brick stencil imper-fectly. When completed, again reposition stencil on top and softly stencil (again imperfectly) using Metal-lic Lustre, Gold Rush. I like my stenciling imperfect for more of a distressed look.

Brush on DecoArt Matte Medium. Allow to dry. Re-peat if necessary.

Trace on pattern. Shade around pattern and edge of surface Raw Sienna. Deepen shading around edge Asphaltum.

Trace on webs. Line with Warm White.
