Healthy Cooking Contest!For our April 26th Parent Involvement Night, we’re letting

YOUdo the cooking!

Due to FSA testing and make-ups, we won’t have the opportunity to cook as a class. So, we invite you to prepare a healthy, flavorful dish to share! We’ll be sending home details soon, but this will be a night where we can all get together, eat some good food, and socialize with one another. Just bring in a meal…and the recipe, and join us for a relaxing evening! Please let Mrs. Carr know if you’ll be participating.

Also, if you’re in need of volunteer hours, let Mrs. Carr know, and she’ll help you out. Remember, all obligations must be fulfilled by Memorial Day!

The Week In Review Miscellaneous

SS: We’re taking a break from SS until after the math FSA. Afterwards, we’ll be learning about the American Revolution.ELA: This week, we focused on comparing and contrasting, irregular and helping verbs, and our suffix, “-able.”Math: We just tested on multiplying/dividing fractions, and are now focused on measurement.Science: We just took our test on Force and Motion. We’ll now be studying different forms of energy.Word of the Week:Our word of the week was “integrity.” Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles. FSAWith FSA testing right around the corner, we’ll be doing a lot of cramming to cover everything that needs to get accomplished. However, I don’t want my scholars to stress too much about the test. They’ve all done a wonderful job this year, and I’m confident that they’ll do well. Try to keep things loose at home, and make sure that during testing, they’re getting plenty of sleep and a nutritious breakfast! Also, please make sure that students are on-time those days, and are not checked-out during testing hours! 4/17-18: ELA FSA 4/23-24: Math FSA
