Snagov Monastery is placed on an isle on Snagov Lake, 40 km North to Bucharest. Inside the monatery we can find the largest assembly of medieval frescoes from Wallachia, dating from the XVIth century. Vlad the Impaler is supposed to be burried here, after being killed in the nearby forest.

Peleș Castle (Romanian: Castelul Peles) is a Neo-Renaissance castle in the Carpathian Mountains, near Sinaia, in Prahova County, Romania, on an existing medieval route linking Transylvania and Wallachia, built between 1873 and 1914. Its inauguration was held in 1883.Pelişor Castle (Romanian: Castelul Pelişor) is a castle in Sinaia, Romania, part of the same complex as the larger castle of Peleş. It was built in 1899–1903 by order of King Carol I, as the residence for his nephew and heir, the future King Ferdinand (son of Carol's brother Leopold von Hohenzollern) and Ferdinand's consort Queen Marie.

The Sinaia Monastery, located in Sinaia, in Prahova County, Romania, was founded by Prince Mihail Cantacuzino in 1695 and named after the great Sinai Monastery on Mount Sinai. Day 1 – OTOPENI – BUCHAREST - Arrival at Bucharest Airport. Meeting point : the Information Desk at the Henry Coanda Airport or the parking paying desk at Baneasa Airport . Transfer at your 4*hotel, check-in. At 19h00, meet with your guide at the hotel reception and walk to a local restaurant for dinner; Overnight stay.

Day 2 – BUCHAREST - Full day to admire the Byzantine Architecture, churches, traditions Departure to Curtea de Arges, formal capital of Wallachia and visit the Episcopal Church where the Romanian Kings are burried. Drive along the picturesque Olt Valley to Cozia Monastery ( the 14th cent. )-a Byzantine monument , with its magnificent collection of icons on glass (the 17th and 18th cent.). Day 3 – SIBIEL – SIBIU – SIGHISOARA – TARGU MURES - BISTRITA - Morning departure to Sighisoara, birthplace of de Vlad the Impaler (“Dracula“). En route, visit Biertan Village and the fortified church. Arrive at Sighisoara; visit the medieval Citadel, included in the UNESCO World heritage : The Clock Tower, the Church on the Hill, the House of Dracula, the roofed staircase, etc Lunch at House of Dracula restaurant. Drive on to Targu Mures, walking tour through the ellegant city centre, well-known for its architecture : the Culture Palace, the Orthodox Church-es, the Teleki-Bolyai Library. Drive on to to Bistrita and visit the Gothic Cathedral. It is the place where Jonathan Harker, Bram Stoker's hero spent the night before arriving at Dracula Castle. Day 4 – BISTRITA – SIGHETUL MARMATIEI – SAPANTA – SIGHETUL MARMATIEIDeparture to Maramures, the land of wood, the region where the most authentic rural life can be found. A trip to Maramures is, in every season , a wonderful experience : visit the traditional villages with their wooden portals, the Merry Cemetery at Sapanta - situated very close to the border side with Ukraine, a true chronicle in verse about the villagers' life. Day 5, SIGHETUL MARMATIEI – CAMPULUNG MOLDOVENSC – GURA HUMORULUI - In the morning, visit the Rozavlea and Ieud monasteries, continue with the Peasant Museum at Drag-omiresti. Lunch en route. Drive on to Bucovina, the land of the unique painted monasteries, belonging to the UNESCO World Heritage. In Bucovina, admire the beautifully decorated houses. Arrive at Campulung Moldovenesc, to visit the Wooden Museum. Continue to Gura Humorului for dinner and overnight stay in 4* hotel.

Day 6, GURA HUMORULUI – MARGINEA – GURA HUMORULUI - In the morning, discover Voronet Monastery – the jewel of Bucovina, also called « the Sistine Chapel of the East » Then visit the Monastery Moldovita, also included in UNESCO Heritage which received the Order „la Pomme d'Or”, awarded by the world's journalists to the monasteries of Bucovina; continue with Sucevita monastery (1585) – a genuine fortress. Lunch en-route.Stop at the beautiful village of Marginea, famous for its black pottery. Return to Gura Humorului for dinner and overnight in a 4* hotel.

Day 7, GURA HUMORULUI – PIATRA NEAMT – BICAZ – CHEILE BICAZULUl – LACUL ROSU – MIERCUREA CIUC - Departure across the beautiful land of Moldavia with its typical villages. Visit the monastery of Neamt , built during the 14th – 15 century. It represented an important cultural centre and its church was an exemple for all the churches of Moldavia. Continue with visit of the monastery Secu; lunch at the monastery, with wine and ,,tzuica'' ( in-house made). Then discover the grand monastery of AGAPIA, which is surrounded by small houses where approx. 200 nuns live in, like in a monastic village, In the afternoon ,,drive along the Lake Bicaz and the dam to admire another lovely place of the country. Cross Bicaz Gorges on foot, if weather is fine continue to the Red Lake resort. Dinner and overnight in 3 * hotel at Miercurea Ciuc

Day 8, MIERCUREA CIUC – SFANTU GHEORGHE - BRAN - BRASOV - Departure for Brasov, on the way visit Prejmer and the fortified church – included in UNESCO Heritage; lunch in a local restaurant. We continue the tour to Bran – visit the famous medieval castle, built for the citizens of Brasov in 1377 in order to defend the city. Prince Vlad used the castle as a residence while he travelled throughout Transyvania. In 1922 Queen Mary transformed the castle into the Royal summer residence.. Over the years, the castle stood as a medieval art museum. Time for shopping sou-venirs from Bran Village Arrive at Brasov; walking tour to discover the City Hall, the Black Church, the Hirsche House, the baroque style buildings. Dinner and overnight stay in 3* hotel located in the old historical city.

Day 9, BRASOV – SINAIA - BUCHAREST - In the morning, cross the Carpathian Mountains to arrive at Sinaia, one of the most beautiful mountain resorts, so-called the « Pearl of the Car-pathians ».Visit the fabulous Peles Castle – former residence of the Royal family with its armoury collection, unique for richness and its diversity. Lunch in a local restaurant with hunt-ing menu. Continue to Bucharest, visit the Village Museum – one of the largest open-air muse-ums in Europe.
