Book and School Supply Drive to Benet Makuta Primary School in Botswana Doctoral Candidates from The School of Educaon at Michigan State University will be traveling to Botswana this June as part of a two-week study abroad program. The MSU team will be vising Makuta Primary School & Orphanage. While at the Orphanage, the MSU team will work with the children on Life Skill Development and will put on a sports camp. The Makuta Primary School educates and houses 225 students including approxi- mately 20 Needy Students and 20 Orphans. There are 10 Teachers and an addional 10 stamembers. Students range in age from 5-14. This school provides a future for the children who live and learn at this facility. In order to further help them and to thank them for the opportunity to visit their school, the MSU team is collecng basic school supplies and new or used books. We are specically looking for: Notebooks, Pens, Pencils, Crayons, Colored Pencils, Staplers New or Used books for children ages 5-14 We also want to give a shout out to the Grand Rapids oce for hosng their 12th Annual Chili Cook Oto benet Kid’s Food Basket. Thank you for your commitment to serve our communies! We will have a collecon box at the Michigan/Indiana Business Center Meeng on Tuesday, February 26th.
