Its IMDB rating is 8.5 out of 10 so therefore it is immensely popular this is also evidently as it is rated 34 out of 250 of the best top rated films. This connotes that the film psycho is mainstream as many people believe it to be good and it has a high rating. The budget for psycho was only $806,947 however in America alone it has made $32M which signifies its popularity and that people enjoy watching Crime Thrillers. Furthermore, it made $50M worldwide which is an enormous amount especially when it had an $806,947 budget.

The Departed is a film with a genre of Crime/Drama/Thriller. Its IMDB rating is 8.5 out of 10 therefore it is a mainstream film and shows that there is a target audience for thriller films. The budget for The Departed was $90M which is a vast amount of money for a film. In the opening weekend The Departed made $2M in the UK only. However the lifetime gross was $132M which evidently proves that it is a good film and that people like to watch Crime/Thriller movies.
