I researched into the different openings that I analysed on Box Office Mojo to see what sort of money each made and to compare which films had the highest production costs. I found this very interesting to then find out how much my film would possible cost to make if I was to make it for real.

Box Office MojoResearch into filmsThe MatrixThis shows how the domestic total gross went over the production budget by $108,479,930 giving them a huge profit. Warner bros made this into a trilogy therefore making them get a lot more money to make the next film creating their business to increase getting more audience and more income.

Casino RoyaleCasino Royale is a sequel by Sony who made a $17,445,960 profit from the domestic total gross and the production budget.Daniel Craig is a famous actor therefore they used the actors and the fact that it is a James Bond film to promote the film in order to get as much audience as possible.

Dawn Of The Planet Of The ApesThis Matt Reeves film made a $38,545,589 profit.The planet of the ape films are a sequel which gets a lot more audience as it has something to adapt from making the audience engage more as they want to see what happens next.

Forrest GumpThe profit made was $274,694,499.The production budget was only $55 million which is a very low amount for a film of this standard.Paramount created this film which attracted lots of people as it fell into a number of genres meaning the audience was very broad which created more interests gaining them money for future plans and also getting them to be more popular.

Saving Private RyanThe profit made was $146,540,909 showing how little this film cost to make.It didnt need much theatre usage as the setting of it is the war meaning the majority of the filming was outside in order for it to be more like real life. DreamWorks distributed this film which made them a lot of money in order for them to make other successful films which then increased their audience viewings and ratings.
