BRAIN An organ that serves as the center of the nervous system. It functions as a primary receiver, organizer, anddistributor of information for the body. It has a righthalfand a left half, each ofwhich is called ahemisphere. 16. DOMINANce The influence or control over something. Control or ascendancy The power or rightto give orders ormake decisions. 17. Therefor ; BRAIN DOMINANCE is: The use of different sides of the brain indetermining learning and listening patterns. That is to mean, the consistence ofusing one side of the brain over theother. 18. Brain Dominance suggests People use different sides of the brain to process differentinformation. Most people use both sides of their brain but prefer learningstrategies associated withone side- Left Brain Dominant- Right Brain Dominant- Bilateral Brain Dominant 19. LEFT BRAIN DOMINANT They follow directions Do well on tests Sit still in school Seem organized Tend to be good business people Are generally serious 20. RIGHT BRAIN DOMINANT They are creative They are empathetic They are spiritual Their focus is noton this world, butthe next. 21. Are you LEFT or RIGHT brained?LET`STESTIT! 22. Right Brain/Left BrainCross eyesLook at CenterWatch the cross on the third circle. Every few seconds, it will change from ahorizontal line to a vertical line and back. This is because the hemispheres of yourbrain are alternating in dominance for this activity. When the right hemisphere isdominant you see the blue circle and vertical line on top; when the left hemisphere isdominant, the red circle and horizontal line are on top. 23. IN LEARNING STYLE 24. LEFT BRAIN If you are left brain dominant, then you probably like to work throughlearning step by step. You prefer resources that guide you through learning in sizablechunks and you'llbe happier breaking down yourlearning into an ordered seriesof goals and tasks. You workbest with other people who aresystematic and focused. 25. RIGHT BRAIN If you are right brain dominant, you will prefer learning resources thatgive you the big picture, such as case studies, and examples of goodpractice. You will prefer to start work ona broad goal or project, and fill inthe detail, the specific skills youneed as you go. You will probablylearn well from observing, discussingand sharing experiences withcolleagues. 26. RECALL( at a Party ) 27. LEFT BRAIN Left brains will meet 12 people andremember their names the next day. 28. RIGHT BRAIN Right brains will NOT remember their names, but willknow what they wore, where they were sitting, howtheir hair wasdone, and maybe even whatthey were talking about. 29. NEATNESS 30. LEFT BRAIN Lefts usually have a tidy personal space andknow where things are. 31. RIGHT BRAINRights have a "piling" system that they use quite often. Theysometimes say, "Don't touch my piles. I know whereeverything is." Other roomsin a right brain's worldmay be neat and tidy, but the personal spacerarely is. 32. PUNCTUALITY 33. LEFT BRAIN Lefts will be on time and even early foreverything. They are the ones in the theatrebefore anyone else gets there. 34. RIGHT BRAIN Rights, on the other hand, are usually only ontime for the most important things. Rights arelikely to be on time for church if in the choir. If not in the choir, itis probably optional tobe on time. 35. Gestures 36. LEFT BRAIN Speak with few gestures and are not veryanimated. Their voice does not fluctuatemuch. 37. RIGHT BRAIN Rights can not talk without using the hands.Their facial expression and voicemay both be quiteanimated andentertaining. 38. Famous RightBrainsThe Right Brains Among Us Are Many 39. Albert Einstein 40. Leonardo Da Vinci 41. Jonas Saulk 42. In general, the left and right hemispheres of yourbrain process information in different ways. We tendto process information using our dominant side. However, the learning and thinking process isenhanced when both side of the brain participate in abalanced manner. This means strengthening your lessdominate hemisphere of the brain. 43. THANK YOU! 44. PREPARED BY:Hilda Gillian Ranis
