who is Sport psychology

Sport psychology is an interdisciplinary science that draws on knowledge from the fields Kinesiology and Psychology. Finding an applied sport and exercise psychology professional

Professionals within applied sport and exercise psychology are either certified by a sport psychology organization or are a licensed psychologist. People without these credentials who claim to offer sport and exercise psychology services may not have received proper training or supervision in the field, and thus may not be able to provide quality service. Anyone seeking consultations should always ask about the professional's credentials, education, consulting experience, clientele, and current membership in professional organizations.

Fencing

• Fencing, is typically divided into olympicfencing, Classical fencing and historical fencing. The sport of fencing (commonly called olympic fencing or competitive fencing) is divided into three weapon categories: foil, sabre and épée. Classical fencing uses the same three weapons, but approaches fencing as a martial art.

Fencing

Techniques or movements in fencing can mostly be divided between two categories: offensive and defensive. Some techniques can fall into both categories (e.g. the beat). Certain

techniques are used offensively, with the purpose of landing a hit on your opponent while holding the right of way (foil and sabre). Others are used defensively, to protect against a hit or

obtain the right of way.

Psychology

• Psychology is an academic and applied discipline that involves the scientific study of mental functions and behaviors. Psychology has the immediate goal of understanding individuals and groups by both establishing general principles and researching specific cases, and by many accounts it ultimately aims to benefit society. In this field, a professional practitioner or researcher is called

a psychologist and can be classified as a social, behavioral, or cognitive scientist. Psychologists attempt to understand the role of mental functions in individual and social behavior, while also exploring the physiological andneurobiological processes that underlie certain cognitive functions and behaviors.
