positioning statement

As the only Catholic high school in northern Nevada, Bishop Manogue is a tight-knit community that works together for the education of all students through faith, leadership, knowledge and compassion. The school – together with parents, alumni and benefactors – fosters an environment that goes beyond mere classroom studies, supporting spiritual growth, self-motivation, extra-curricular involvement, Christian service, and academic success that prepares students for the future.

All of our marketing and communications have been designed to strengthen the perceptions of the Bishop Manogue brand. Speci� cally, our advertising is intended to build positive aware-ness of Bishop Manogue, along with its Catholic values and academic ideals.

The Bishop Manogue brand is a promise to every student and parent, what they should expect and what you stand behind. You build a strong brand through consistency and uniformity.

Please take the time to learn the brand guidelines contained within this booklet. These guidelines have been compiled to provide a comprehensive summary of all branding require-ments for simple, straightforward reference.

Tagline

The tagline is a tangible representation of the brand. It should be used in all brand-related design as long as space allows.

The tagline does not need to be included when using the outdoor version of the logo or where space and readability are considerations.

Dark Backgrounds

If the logo is to be used on a dark or busy background, please use the logo with white copy for maximum legibility.

Clear Space Requirements

A reasonable amount of open space should be maintained around the logo at all times, as it prevents interference from other graphic elements. The X-height of the clear space is equal to the height of the capital B in the logotype.

Artwork Standards for Embroidered

and Silk Screened Apparel

Halo M logo must appear prominently in the design. Apparel without logo will not be approved.

Use proper PMS colors for logos, text and apparel

Logo can be a green M with gold or white halo, or a

gold M with white halo. (There is never a green halo.)

Apparel material color options are limited to:

grey, green, gold and white.

All designs and artwork need to be approved. Submit for

approval at least two weeks prior to order date.

Mandatory vs. Optional ItemsMandatory items should also be necessary items to avoid undue costs to parents.

Cost for mandatory items cannot exceed $100 per player. Approval is required on expenses above that amount.

Make every effort to purchase mandatory items that can be used from year to year so returning players do not have additional costs. We recommend purchasing items with a three-year minimum use in mind.

Avoid using dates in designs.

Optional items or items intended for sale to parents or fans must follow all of the same standards.

All apparel and artwork must be approved prior to the purchase.

Artwork Approval Process If you are intending to purchase an item that has a Manogue Logo on it, please complete the following steps PRIOR to requesting a PO from the business of� ce.

1. Receive a quote and artwork from a BMCHS Approved Vendor (Athletics Unlimited, Cabinet Ink or North American Embroidery).

2. If using a BMCHS approved vendor, submit request to the Dean of Students for approval. Athletic apparel to be approved by Athletic Director. (go to step #5)

3. If NOT using a BMCHS approved vendor provide an explanation to the Dean of Students as to why a preferred vendor cannot be used. Supply new vendor with BMCHS branding standards per the Branding Standards Guideline Book.

4. Print out and attach artwork samples with quote for the entire order and submit to the Dean of Students for approval. Please allow up to 72 hours for approval.

5. Once the Dean of Students has approved the artwork, he will either initial a hard copy of the approved artwork or email Julie the approval to begin the PO process.
