International Students: Challenges (cont.)
Why don’t international students want to stay?
Concern about obtaining work visas
Fear they will not be able to find a job after graduation
Best job/economic opportunities lie in home countries
Desire to be with friends and family
Fewer want to pursue research or academic careers, more are looking for an entrepreneurial career
Conclusion: Better job prospects, and ability to obtain visas will help retain international students
