Bridger Howes Limited was launched by Mark Bridger and Richard Howes, formerly producers of lifting equipment magazines, online products, events and related media. To realise lifelong ambitions to have their own business, Mark and Richard setup a public relations and content company, which promotes crane, hoist, rigging and other businesses to target audiences.

Meet the TeamBridger Howes directors combine to offer four decades of business-to-business media experience

Mark Bridger has 25 years of experience in sales and leadership roles across events, media and publishing portfolios, having followed his father into the business in 1990. Since then, he excelled in roles in a variety of industries including metal-forming and fabrication; water and wastewater; labelling and converting; building and construction; wire and tube forming; and heavy lifting.

Mark has always been involved in all aspects of media sales from events to publications, and direct mail to digital. He has researched, launched and directed a number of international exhibitions and conferences in Europe, the Far East, the Middle East and North America.

For three years, Mark was based in the USA as publisher and director of business development for a media portfolio covering lifting equipment. Launching various regional events and conferences was part of his remit.

DMG World Media, Mack Brooks Group, Wilmington Media, Progressive Media, and Maximum Capacity Media are a few of the companies to benefi t from his wealth of experience.

Richard Howes had worked in media for 14 years when Bridger Howes Limited was founded in 2013. Concluding full-time education with the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ), Richard started his career in local newspapers before joining the B2B publishing industry fi ve years later. There, he edited a number of international and North American trade journals in the construction and lifting sectors. Editorial leadership roles included the oversight and moderation of conference content at events in Europe, the Far East, the Middle East and North America.

Richard is a gifted and experienced writer, and leads the company’s content production, writing case studies, press releases, articles, magazines, blogs and more for a growing portfolio of lifting-related and other clients every month.

Extensively travelled, Richard has experience working in many international markets.
