his/her achievements and successes and leave his/her

portfolio at home. (If he/she has lost this black file, any file

He/she can easily retrieve documents for the application to secondary school in P6 for Direct School Admission.

What is a T-Score?

It gives the relative position of a student’s performance as compared to the performance of all other students in that subject.

The raw score obtained in the exam only shows how good the student is in that subject, not how good he is compared to others.

How is T-Score calculated?

T = 50 + 𝟏𝟎×(𝑿−𝒀)

X = student’s mark for the subject

Y = average mark (mean) scored by all

students

Z = spread of marks around the

average mark (standard deviation)

Example:

Pupil’s mark (X) in exam = 50.0

Average mark (Y) scored by all pupils = 68.0

Spread of marks (Z) around the average = 14.0

T = 50 + 10×(50−68)

How is the Aggregate Score calculated?

By adding the T-scores for ALL 4 subjects

Supporting Your Child/Ward 1. Moral Support
