Introduction

This beautiful Reiki system was gifted and channeled to me by the BrightGoddess Brighid on 6 June 2008. I was performing my morning Reikipractice and working with some new crystals when I saw four golden coloredsymbols come flying through the area of my Third Eye Chakra. They camethrough so fast and powerfully that I practically fell off my meditation pillow

trying to grab for a pen and paper. I drew the symbols first and then heardthe words and meanings associated with each symbol. I heard the name

Brighids Flame Reiki and felt warm tingling over my third eye and the back ofmy head, my hands were tingling and warm with energy as well and I knewBrighid was passing to me her symbols and energies. This manual containsthe information she channeled to me on that morning and it is my honor, and

with her blessings, that I am now passing this energy system to you.

*There are no prerequisites for receiving this attunement although someknowledge of Reiki or energy work is of course beneficial.



The Bright Goddess Brighid

Brighid is known by many names: Brigit, Bride, Saint Brigid, Brigantia,Brigdu and Breo Saighead which means Fiery Arrow. She is the daughterof the Dagda, the good god of the Tuatha de Danann and Morrighan, thetriple goddess. Brighid is the flame that illuminates our world, she inspires,transforms us, and heals; coming through fast and strong like lightning and

departing just as quickly leaving behind a more illuminated body, mind, and soul.She is the Celtic Goddess of the Hearth Fire, Creativity, Poetry,

Inspiration, Smithcraft, and Healing. Brighid is action, focus, strength andpurpose. Her influence touches every stone, tree and river. She is light, the

Earths breath, shining proud and strong. She wants us to live fully, toappreciate our strengths, as well as our weaknesses, so that we may be rebornto the light that is already within our own heart. She offers us peace and solaceunder the protection of her Mantle (her magickal cloak) and a strong presence

that we can lean upon in our times of need. Her message for us, Do notforget to be present in the moment; stop and listen, enjoy what is all aroundyou. The trees await you, the lakes, rivers and streams beckon you, the

stones, ancient and timeless, lend you their strength. Drink the healing watersfrom her healing cauldron and know that you are home with all that surrounds

you, you are one with her and all that is and ever will be.



The Symbols of Brighids Flame Reiki

The Poets MuseThis symbol is used for Inspiration, Creativity, Poetry, Communication with friends, loved

ones, or Family. Can also be used in social settings to allow the gift of gab to comeforth. It represents a music note allowing your words and creative spirit to flow throughyou. To draw this symbol start with the cleft on the left and follow through to the spiral,

add the two circles on top last.

The Forge CraftThis symbol can be used for forging your dreams, aids you in realizing and bringing to thesurface your true calling and divine purpose here on Earth. It represents the Anvil andthe Smith who uses it to forge beautiful things out of something ordinary. To draw this

symbol, draw the anvil first and draw the spiral last.



The Hearth FireThis symbol is for family, house and home, balance, traditions, honoring our ancestors,protection, strength, and the center of your being. It represents the connection to all of

these gifts that are important, balancing the everyday with the connection to Spirit, makingall of this the center, the hearth, of your life. Think of this symbol as the two lines across

the top being the mantle to the hearth, the three circles representing Brighids Cloakcovering all you hold dear and the spiral as the fire that burns brightly in the hearth, the

center, the core that holds it all together. To draw this symbol start with the two lines ontop, then the three circles and the spiral last.

The Cauldron of LightThis symbol is for healing, not just others but your inner self, herbcraft, learning and

working with herbs, honoring the bounty of Earth and all of her gifts. It represents theopening of our hearts, to have the courage and strength to see what needs healing withinour own selves, so that we may truly help and heal others. To draw this symbol, start

with the cauldron or bowl and draw the spiral last.



The Four Stones of Brighids Flame Reiki

With this system there are four stones that coincide beautifully in working with the foursymbols. It is not necessary to use them hand in hand, but as I was provided thisinformation for this manual, I feel it is necessary to provide you the opportunity to

experience these energies combining and working together to bring you, the symbols, andthe stones together in harmony.

RhyoliteThis stone is used with The Poets Muse Symbol as it represents communication,

speech, and creativity. Rhyolite represents change, variety and progress, it lights the fire ofcreativity within the soul, bringing to fruition the quests upon which one has longed to

travel. It assists in providing insight to the subtle energy channels within the body. It isan excellent stone for promulgating, with humility, the actualization of self-realization.

CopperThis stone is used with The Forge Craft Symbol as it represents a sacred metal to the

Ancient Celts used to create beautiful adornments as well as weapons. The forging ofsomething ordinary into something beautiful, forging your dreams and bringing them intoreality. Copper provides a harmonic connection between the physical and astral bodies. Ithas been used to amplify and to transmit thought, is a bestower of "good" bringing benefit

to the user.

CitrineThis stone is used with The Hearth Fire symbol as it represents the fire within, thespark that is central to all that is important and sacred in your life. Citrine is one of thetwo minerals on planet Earth which does not hold and accumulate negative energy, but

instead, transmutes it, working out problems on both the physical and subtle levels. Hence,it never needs clearing or cleansing! It is useful for balancing the yin-yang energy and for



aligning the chakras with the ethereal plane. Promotes contact with higher beings ofintelligence.

Ocean JasperThis stone represents The Cauldron of Light symbol as it represents the Earth as wellas the Sea, the healing colors of the plant kingdom, and the harvest bounty. Ocean Jasperhas a soothing, nurturing, and grounding effect. Those who work with any of its varietiestend to experience change happening in a gentle and gradual way. In working with this

stone, you may have the feeling that these emotions, now out of hiding, aren't as importantand troublesome as they had felt when they were trapped inside you. Instead, you may

have a feeling of calmness, much like the sea after a storm.

The Healing Herbs of BrighidThe last portion of this manual will focus on some herbs that Brighid favors for their

healing properties and their ability to be used safely. All of these herbs can be used in thecreation of a healing incense or herbal blend if desired. Simply mix or grind a tsp of eachherb within your mortar and pestle. While blending, focus on the intent to heal. Burn a

tsp full within a fire safe cauldron or bowl on a charcoal tablet.

Lavender

Chamomile

Vervain

Sage

Rose

St. Johns Wort



Brighids Flame Reiki Attunement Process

This attunement can be sent using two methods, in person or distance.

In PersonPrepare yourself and the room in which you will be performing the attunement, you mayburn incense, candles, play soft music, whatever makes you and the person receiving the

system, comfortable. The student does not need to do anything to prepare except relax andbe open to the energies.

When you are ready to pass the connection place your hands gently on the shoulders ofthe student and close your eyes focusing on your breath for a few moments. When you

feel ready to pass on the attunement say aloud:

I now wish to attune (Students Name), (Date and Time), to Brighids Flame Reiki. Iask this in his/her highest good, that they be connected to The Bright Goddess Brighid

from this moment on.

When passing this attunement, please follow the order of the symbols as they are in thismanual. When you are ready visualize the first symbol floating before you in a golden lightcolor, use your hand to bring that symbol down to the level of the students Third Eye andvisualize it floating into the students Third Eye. Now draw that symbol on the studentsThird Eye. Repeat that process with the remaining three symbols. After you have drawn

the last symbol place your hand upon the students Third Eye for a few moments andwhen you are ready, state the following:

Goddess BrighidKeeper of the Sacred Flame

I Call Forth Your Blessings Upon (Students Name)Allow their creativity to flow like a swift riverGrant them your strength to forge their dreams

Be the Fire that illuminates their Hearth and SoulProvide your wisdom of healing and the olde ways

And protect them under your MantleSo Mote It Be



Distance AttunementThis method is exactly the same except that you will not have your actual student present

before you physically.

Prepare yourself and your space in whatever way you feel comfortable with. Repeat theentire process either by visualization within your minds eye or by using a proxy (usually a

stuffed animal of sorts).
