The Board of Education recognizes that everything in our ecosystem is interconnected and that all of our actions impact its well-being. The Board acknowledges it has a responsibility to educate students and provide opportunities for staff, to develop social responsibility, ecological literacy, sustainable behaviors and actions. The Board aims to develop effective environmental practices and strives to create and support transformational change and innovation within our communities through system wide integration of environmental stewardship.
As a result of our shared guardianship of this planet, implementation of this policy shall be the joint responsibility of the Trustees, staff and students.
