She has participated in the development of the medical staff services profession for more than 35 years and has been a faculty member with the National Association Medical Staff Services since 1990. Carl Couch, MD, MMM, FAAFP, currently serves as the president of Baylor Quality Health Care Alliance, a clinically integrated network of physicians and hospitals aligned with Baylor Health Care System. Dr. Couch was also founding director and chairman of the Board of Health Texas Provider Network, an orga-nization of 600 physicians employed by the Baylor Health Care System. William F. Mills, MD, MMM, CPE, FACPE, FAAFP, is currently the senior vice president of quality and professional affairs for Upper Allegheny Health System, which consists of Olean (N.Y.) General Hospital and Bradford (Pa.) Regional Medical Center. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, is a certified physician executive from the Certifying Commission in Medical Management, and is a fellow in both the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American College of Physician Executives. Dr. Mills is also certi-fied in addiction medicine through the American Society of Addiction Medicine, and currently serves as a medical review officer.

Jeffrey D. Moseley is a senior partner with Buerger, Moseley & Carson, PLC, in Franklin, Tenn. He represents hospitals throughout the United States in relation to medical staff issues, including peer review and credentialing, board and medical staff bylaws, operational issues, EMTALA, and contract matters.

Sally Pelletier, CPMSM, CPCS, is a senior consultant and director of credentialing services with The Greeley Company, a division of HCPro, Inc., in Danvers, Mass. She brings nearly two decades of credentialing and privileging experience to her work with medical staff leaders and medical services professionals across the nation. Pelletier advises clients in the areas of accreditation compliance, credentialing and privileging assessment and redesign, medical staff services department assessments, and leadership and development training for medical services professionals.

Richard A. Sheff, MD, is principal and chief medical officer with The Greeley Company, a division of HCPro, Inc., in Danvers, Mass. He brings more than 25 years of healthcare management and leadership experience to his work with physicians, hospitals, and healthcare sys-tems across the country. With his distinctive combination of medical, healthcare, and management acumen, Dr. Sheff develops tailored solu-tions to the unique needs of physicians and hospitals.

David P. Tarantino, MD, MBA, is a senior consultant with The Greeley Company, a division of HCPro, Inc., in Danvers, Mass.
