    The customer – one of the largestbottling companies in the world –was performing ad concept tests inthe most populated country onEarth. With so much data andwithout adequate means to makesense of it, business was in trouble.

    Our approach

    In order to facilitate business continuity, weadopted an extremely lean approach – once thedatabase has been fully set up we startedvisualizing the most important relations first,simultaneously guaranteeing speed, robustness,scalability and usability. Instead of our bi-weeklysprint regimen, we opted for a weekly one, thatwould give us the much needed flexibility to tacklechallenges like hosting in China or providingadequate security without breaking anti-encryptionlaws. Given our information security prowess, bothwere simultaneously possible.

    Our customer, based in the USA, ist the leading manufacturer and supplier of orthopedic and healthcare products and services. The company had more than 500 M entries with information from hospitals and doctors that they needed to properly structure and analyse. Analysis included standard ETL & cleansing, but also predictive analytitcs and forecasting.

    Our approach

    As the project involved Big Data, we had to use specific technologies inorder to handle the enormous amount of data. In the end, we delivered aplatform that analyses the company‘s selling potential on two verticals –doctor and hospital. Based on the entries the system can prepareforecasts for new products and services – an important feature formanagerial decision making. Another big win for our customer was theability to follow purchase trends and track seasonality of purchases, thusallowing the sales force to approach the correct stakeholders just at theright time.

    Our customer’s mission is to make thelives of elderly people with chronicconditions easier in Germany byproviding the medical supplies theyneed on a monthly basis. We had tocome up with a solution to help thecompany manage the elaboraterelations between its customers andpartners.

    Our approach

    As a result of the enormous bureaucracy in the industry in Germany we had tooptimize the company’s workflow by introducing automation. We developed aninterface for internal use that administrates the connection between elderlypatients, health insurance companies, physicians, caretakers and logisticscompanies. We determined several user groups within the company who hadinterest in different parts of the tool and aimed to address their needs andconnect the workflow between them.

    Our client is a world-known vendorof penetration tests and helpsorganizations with informationsecurity governance andcertification. For those varyingneeds, we had to come up with anautomation solution that mapsactive risks and prioritizes areas ofimprovement .

    Our approach

    Validating business impact through a 3-month proof-of-conceptplatform, over time we developed a full process automation platform,including microservices for active monitoring, early notification ofzero-days, issue tracker and preliminary PCI/DSS certification.

    Our customer – a leading Austrian provider of legal services - wanted to create a new online portal for consultants, where information regarding the legal status of land parts and companies can be found. After completing the project, the customer wanted to expand the offering by white labeling the platform and offering it as a product to its partners

    Our approach

    We had to integrate several APIs from the Austrian Ministry of theInterior into a single platform where users can perform legalqueries and receive the legal documents they require. The queriesare all paid, which meant we had to create a „Shopping cart“ forlegal documents, while also introducing a daily limit per user inorder to avoid abuse. We also had to integrate various paymentmethods and pack the whole system in a neat, modern design.

    As part of its transformation acustomer-centric organization,Heidelberg Cement wanted to havea dedicated system to assess andtrack its Net Promoter Score (NPS).As a management tool, the NPS canhave a significant effect on revenuegrowth, giving the company anaccurate depiction of its customerrelationships.

    Our approach

    In close collaboration with the customer we built a system tomatch their complex internal and customer hierarchy. It isalso tailored to coincide with their internal interpretation ofthe NPS methodology. Collecting data, acting on it,communicating back to the customer and keeping processestransparent proved to be challenging - but not impossible.Through sentiment analysis, the various emotions incustomer response were tagged resulting in businessimpactful decisions. By leveraging NLP, feedback fromvarious geographies was aggregated to provide meaningfulmanagement suggestions.

    The goal was to unify all researchdocuments and quantified results inthe field of marketing. To create asingle source of truth. Thechallenging aspect was to make surethe vast amount of information isclearly connected, therebyguaranteeing that apples arecompared to apples.

    Our approach

    We developed an indexer and search engine for documents based onElasticsearch, Lucene and Tesseract. Among the challenges we had toovercome was translations between English and Arabic. In order toimprove tagging, we implemented a human-aided tagging interfaceand a neural network, that learns from previous tag improvements.Once the data was normalized we created a dashboard that visualizedit and also made the source documents available. The platform couldover time extract comprehensive data from the stored documents.

    Our client wanted to have theirmarket research results visualized ina clear and understandable way. Weachieved just that, whilesimultaneously creating user-friendlyaccess to various slices and dices.

    Our approach

    We were pressed by a short timeline, which meant our team needed tohave a structured approach from the start. We also wanted to developthe ability of the application to scale in mobile (responsiveness), whichwas greatly appreciated by ING in the end.Language processing modules had to match customer feedbackbetween Dutch, English, German and match them against pre-definedattribute categories.

  • Milen has degrees in Informatics and Industrial Management. He was previously involved in electronics and embedded systems design for the automotive industry, working as a senior software architect for industry leaders Johnson Controls and Continental. Before co-founding Code Runners, he was in charge of building and leading the development team of a Norwegian company in Sofia.

    Dimiter has degrees in Informatics and Industrial Management, his work experience including a career in computer networking and information security. At HP, working as an information security consultant, Dimiter provided insight to the C level executives of Alcatel-Lucent, Nokia, AON, Centrica. He also has a background in Healthcare, where he consulted the likes of Philips, Pfizer and ThermoFisher.

    Cvetina has degrees in Computer Scienceand Artificial Intelligence from the SofiaUniversity. She has worked in thedevelopment of mobile applications formore than 3 years. Additionally, she hasmore than 8 years of experience withvarious web technologies. Currently, she’sleading a team of developers creatingvarious products and working on customerprojects.

    Rumen received his Bachelor degree inBusiness administration from SofiaUniversity, after which he gainedexperience in product development in theFMCG sector. His interest in businesscreation and growth lead him to Sweden,where he got a degree in Strategicentrepreneurship. He likes to get involvedin the local startup community by takingon various side projects.
