Did you know that Adam & his wife, Sa-rah own another busi-ness locally? And even better yet...did you know that Timber employees are offered a discount there? Find out more about it at www.pawsandclawsironmountain.com

Greetings Timber Associates, Another quarter has flown by. It finally seems as though things are starting to return to some level of normal after the pandemic so I have to start by thanking you all for your effort, dedication, and persistence through it all. I know it's been a heck of a grind out there for you. Thank you all for representing the essential workers and Timber Products with the utmost professionalism. We have come through it all relatively unscathed. Our CSA scores have been good news and bad news. During the 2nd quarter we watched our scores improve greatly, getting out of alert status on vehicle maintenance and watching our ISS score drop to 44 which is a green light. Unfortunately after a couple of bad inspections during road check week we have returned to alert status and a red light. We will be covering a variety of initiatives at our safety meeting as well as introducing an industry expert that has been made avail-able to us through our insurance provider who will be providing assistance as we work to improve once again. I can't stress enough the importance of everyone contributing to this effort. It's not a matter of should do or could do, it's a matter of must do. With a fleet of our size we are always go-ing to walk the fine line and just cannot afford the bad inspections with 6 findings and 3 out or ser-vices as we experienced during road check week. On a positive note we had yet another safe quar-ter. Our crash indicator is at 0 and we had no safety issues in quarter 2 so you should all be com-mended for that. From an economic standpoint, we are living in interesting times for sure. Inflation concerns are real and we will see where things settle out at. Due to policy changes and executive orders I do not expect fuel prices to improve much for the next 18 months. We will see normal fluctuations but those fluctuations will be at this new higher level that we now have to live with. As I have said in previous newsletters, let's all just focus on the things we can control. All indications are that freight rates will remain good through 2021 and likely 2022. There is still a shortage in available trucks and drivers and that will continue to play in our favor. On the lighter side we are finally going to get back together on August 20th. A mandatory safety meeting in the morning, followed by company picnic and then stock car races of which Tim-ber is a proud sponsor of. Transportation and lodging will be provided as needed. It has been way too long since we have been able to do this so I am really looking forward to seeing you all. In a short time we will start planning our Christmas party once again. Better days are ahead. Thank you all for your continued effort and dedication. It is always a privilege to work with such a great group of people. I look forward to seeing you all on August 20th. With safety, maintenance, and delivery at the forefront, Keep on Truckin..... Thank you. Adam

New this year, we are sponsoring Mike Lantagne (car #6) at the Norway Speedway. Mike is Stacey’s brother-in-law and is now in his 3rd year racing in the late model series.

We look forward to cheering him on after our company picnic Aug 20th!

Congrats to Dan Kelly on the purchase of your new mo-torcycle that you were able to pick up in Rapid City, SD

recently.

These photos were all sent in by Dale Hoffman. He has seen moose and prong horn antelope.

He has carried his inner tube in the truck and floated in lake Michigan in the past. He re-

cently found 2 truck driver fishing holes with parking along the Yellowstone river and plans to return when he has time to cast a line. Dale says “Trucking with Timber has been good.”

Above is a photo from Dan Kelly of a deck he put on his house during his time off. We often hear from drivers that they need to go back on the road to get a break. A few days off can be exhausting!

North Platte, NE

FUN FACT: Patrick is retired Air Force. He previously owned a truck and chose the number 1947 and now his

new truck number is 47. This is significant to him because the Air Force was founded in the year 1947.
