Joining the Library:

Membership is free

Your library card and pin number now allows you to access a wide range of services

When joining the Library, proof of your current address will be required, for example a utility bill or driving licence.

Persons under 15 years of age will require a guarantor

Upon joining the library, your library card and pin number will be issued to you. Please bring these with you when using the library as they will be necessary for borrowing items, using the PC’s and reserving items online

Adult tickets allow ten items to be issued, while junior tickets allow for six.

Books and CD’s are issued for three weeks, while DVD’s are issued for one week.

Items may be renewed at the self service stations, by phone, or on the library website.

Fines are charged on overdue items at 25 cent per week or part of, fines are charged on DVD’s at 50 cent

Items may be reserved for a small fee of 50 cent. Reserves may be placed in the Library or through the library website.

Over 75,000 books are available for borrowing for children’s, young adults and adults

Customer focused Book Displays Includes Quick Pick, Flash, and Face out Displays

A comprehensive selection of DVDs, CD’s, Talking books, cd-roms and games are available for borrowing

Newspapers, periodicals and a wide selection of magazines are available for reading in the comfort of the library.

The County library holds an extensive reference collection

Local Studies CollectionIncludes books, photos, local history, extensive online databases, and information of interest for local studies.

SERVICES

Self service stations, using the latest RFID technology, allow borrowers to borrow, return and renew their items in a simple time saving manner.

LCD screens display a complete list of upcoming events and activities as well as services offered by the library.

Passport applications and driving forms are available at the adult desk
