We AssessWe get to know your injured worker. We assess limitations, previous job functions, and vocational background. Our Certified Rehabilitation Counselor/Voc. Expert conducts an assessment in person and shares with all parties.

We Source JobsWe locate suitable, viable jobs FOR the worker. Other vendors may provide unverified job leads, hoping the worker finds a job onhis/her own. Big mistake. We find the jobs ourselves via cold-calling. It’s a lot more work but the only way to deliver RTW success.

We Schedule InterviewsIf your current vendor is not setting appointments for your workers to attend, they are using a lazy RTW approach that only spins wheels. By scheduling job interviews for workers, not only are we making sure the jobs are open and suitable, but we also are getting the worker out of the house and in front of employers. From the day your injured worker is released by their physician to light duty, we start sourcing transitional work. We:

Our Proven Hands-on Approach

Conduct Claimant Questionnaire. Within 24 hours of referral, our Transitional Case Manager contacts the claimant (and any legal counsel, if represented) and schedules a telephonic questionnaire.1.

Contact Employers/Charities. We call our network of employers and charitable organizations to source volunteer opportunities that match your injured worker’s physical restrictions.2.

Work with Hiring Managers. We talk directly with hiring managers, sourcing potential positions, discussing the claimant, restrictions and explaining the Workfinders USA transitional program.3.

Advocate Claimant Restrictions. We work with hiring managers to ensure that a claimant’s restrictions are accommodated. We ensure that all transitional opportunities comply with the claimant’s restrictions.4.

Transitional Placement. We schedule a time/date for the placement to begin and report to all parties immediately.5.

Weekly Follow Up. We follow up with employer once a week for four weeks. We complete and send a weekly status report to adjuster.6.

Communication & Documentation. We take pride in our relentless communication and documentation. Should claimant sabotage his/her commitment to the program, we will document and report immediately to adjuster.7.

Client: National WC CarrierTransitional Placement

Background InformationClaimant was still employed by the insured and had not been cleared to return to previous occupation. His duties at the insured included mowing lawns and general lawn upkeep. Claimant had a high school diploma and displayed a true interest in our program. Claimant spoke Spanish.

Enter Workfinders USAInsured could not accommodate modified restrictions so we were asked to keep the claimant engaged by finding volunteer work until he could return to the insured.

During our initial assessment, the claimant was very cooperative and had no reservations about working within our Transitional program.

After calling several non-profits, we found an organization who could accommodate his physical and language restrictions and scheduled a placement meeting between claimant and employer. Claimant showed up for his first day as a Donation Sorter for a Thrift Store.

On Transitional cases, we follow up with employer every week to obtain hours work and gain feedback on the placement. These reports are sent to the adjuster immediately.

ConclusionIt took Workfinders USA approx. two weeks to secure this opportunity. The true value of our Transitional program is advocating directly to employers for claimants and being able to move quickly to get your claimants placed while in their healing phase.

to source five open, viable and suitable jobs as close to AWW as possible. All LMSs are double-verified by our CRC/VE (Certified Rehab Counselor/Voc. Expert).

A CRC/VE will create claimant assessment, usually performed at claimant’s attorney’s office.

Our proven approach

Our aggressive, hands-on approach to RTW success works.

Each day we research appropriate employers to call based on restrictions and background of the claimant.

We cold-call each employer sourced to gain accurate job availability & information. By cold calling employers, we often find jobs not yet advertised!

We speak to hiring managers to ask about job openings, inform them of our service, advocate on behalf of claimant, answer questions etc...A large reason why we call employers is to be able to sell the claimant to the employer the best way we know how, something a simple application can NOT do.

If a job is open, we make sure it is suitable/within restrictions of claimant. If a job is outside of the claimant’s restrictions, we ask employer if accommodations are possible. If not, we do not pursue the lead. For us to consider a job lead, it ALWAYS must be within the claimant's restrictions. We make this priority #1!

We schedule job interviews for the claimant with employer. Scheduling in-person appointments and asking the claimant to physically attend is how we test the claimant’s motivation to RTW while supply them with the best chance at re-employment.

We follow up with employer to ascertain interview results. Should the claimant be uncooperative, we obtain critical information from the employer such as appearance, demeanor/attitude, statements made, tardiness, etc…This is how we test the claimant’s compliance level.

We take pride in our relentless communication and documentation and stand by ready should any court proceedings be necessary.
