MOTIVATION

Contemporary test equipment management

Inspection equipment is an important means of production today, in fact, it’s just as important for production as tools and machines are. Many quality inspections are not feasible without suitable measuring and test equipment. State-of-the-art test equipment, such as measuring microscopes, image recognition systems or measuring machines contribute significantly to keeping the costs for quality assurance in check by being able to evaluate quality characteristics automatically.

Whether the manufactured products comply with your high quality requirements also depends on the correct use of the test equipment. The HYDRA module Test Equipment Management (PMV) en-sures that the required test or measuring equip-ment is available in sufficient numbers and in adequate condition. In addition, the system issues a certificate, to show evidence that the product quality can be inspected with the planned mea-suring equipment. Using data interfaces, the results can be transferred directly to the MES applications.

Needs-based, tailor-made MES applications
