ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
Food technology is gaining momentum in India very
fast with the increased demand of processed and
packaged food products. Consumers are now aware
about the importance of safe, nutritious and healthy
food products. To meet the consumer expectations
and food requirement of increasing population, food
industry need innovative ideas in the field of food
processing and preservation. Indian government is
also increasing the investment in this sector by
setting up food parks. Considering the importance of
subject, organizers announces the “National
conference on Food Processing and Technology:
Current Status and Future Prospects (NCFPT-2016)”
to bring the delegates from industry and academia
on a common platform and discuss the innovative
ideas and recent advances in field.
ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY
Shoolini University is non-profit multi-disciplinary
private university established in 2009 through
Government of Himachal Pradesh Act. Situated in
the Shimla Hills, Shoolini University has a sylvan
campus on the Oachghat- Kumarhatti Road at an
altitude of about 1500 meters. It is 15 km from
Solan, 54 km from Chandigarh and 18 km from
Dharampur. The university has excellent teaching
facilities, which include modern lecture theatres,
state-of-the art laboratories and online teaching
tools. Shoolini University has fully Wi-Fi campus andworld class library named “Yoganada Knowledge
Center”. Shoolini University is committed to
excellence in all aspects of graduate and
postgraduate learning, the transmission of relevant
knowledge and skills, and free thinking needed to
address the challenges of the modern world.
ABOUT THE SCHOOL
School of Bioengineering and Food Technology has
been laying emphasis on quality education and
training activities to meet growing demand of food
processing industries in addition to pioneering the
development of innovative technologies for
conservation and processing of raw foods with value
addition. The school is currently offering B. Tech., M.
Tech. and Ph. D. programs in Food Technology. The
program of School is sponsored by MFPI for
infrastructure development. The School is having
several ongoing projects sponsored by various
funding agencies like MFPI, DST, and DBT.
CONFERENCE THEME
The conference will cover a wide array of topics
from the field of Food technology. NCFPT-2016 will
incorporate ground-breaking keynote addresses
from leading scientists and delegates from industry.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
Abstracts for oral and poster presentation not
exceeding 250 words typed in a single paragraph in
Times New Roman font 12 points are invited. The
abstract should be sent only by e-mail at
[email protected] long with title of the paper
in Bold), name of the author(s), and full address of
correspondence including email and the name of
the presenting author in bold. Abstracts received
after the due date will not be accepted. Poster size
should be 90 cm X 120 cm.

A very beautiful and mesmerizing place, Solan is
located in the picturesque Himachal Pradesh and is
the district headquarter. Solan is one of those places
in India where the climate remains pleasant all year

are Shimla, Chail, Kasauli, Kandaghat, Karol Tibba,Churdhar peak etc.
