2WD PETROL ENGINEThe 2WD Nissan X-TRAIL features a 2.0 litre 4 cylinder petrol engine to provide the power you need as well as excellent fuel economy.

4WD PETROL ENGINEThe 2.5 litre 4 cylinder petrol engine delivers an impressive 125kW of power and 226Nm of torque thanks, in part, to its Continuous Valve Timing Control System (CVTCS) which optimises performance.

4WD DIESEL ENGINEThe 2.0 litre turbo-diesel engine also has plenty of power. It features a variable nozzle turbo charger that helps deliver more power and lower emissions, giving you 127kW of power and 360Nm of torque on the manual model.

MANUAL TRANSMISSIONThe Nissan X-TRAIL ST 2WD, ST 4WD and Diesel models come with a 6-speed manual transmission, delivering smooth and responsive gear changes.

CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (CVT)Available as an option in Petrol models, CVT automatic transmission provides a virtually infinite number of gears. So instead of feeling the gear changes, you’ll experience smooth acceleration as your reach your desired speed. If you want to take control, the 4WD Petrol models have Manual Mode to allow you to shift through the gears yourself.

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WITH M-MODEThe 4WD Diesel X-TRAIL has the option of a 6-speed automatic with Manual Mode.

ALL MODE 4X4-i SYSTEMThe rotary dial makes it easy to change between three modes while driving: 2WD for normal driving conditions, AUTO which continually monitors all four wheels and instantly distributes the ideal amount of torque between them and, for serious off-roading, LOCK which splits the front and rear wheel torque evenly for maximum stability and traction.

HILL START ASSISTOn 4WD models the brake remains engaged for a few seconds while you switch from it to the accelerator, helping to prevent any roll back.

HILL DESCENT CONTROL4WD models help you stay in control by using the Anti-lock Braking System to keep your vehicle travelling at a low speed when heading down steep inclines.

AROUND VIEW MONITOR (AVM)*The Ti and TL models feature the innovative Around View Monitor technology, giving you a virtual 360 degree bird’s eye view around your vehicle that makes parking easier than ever. The system uses four wide-angle cameras: one on the front, one on each side mirror, and one at the rear, to give you a view on all four sides.

When you are backing in, the display shows dynamic lines to help guide you, gauging the distance to objects that may be in your way. ELECTRONIC STABILITY PROGRAM (ESP)ESP, also known as Vehicle Dynamic Control, is a safety system to help keep you on your intended path. If the ESP senses that your vehicle is starting to oversteer or understeer, the engine power is reduced or braking power applied to specific wheels to help you maintain control.

If the loaded vehicle mass is reduced as shown in the table, the towball download can be increased correspondingly. Accordingly, if the laden mass is 250kg less than the GVM∞, a towball download of 200kg is approved. Different trailer types and different trailer manufacturers have varying towball downloads. The customer will need to contact the trailer manufacturer for information as to the download. Nissan does not recommend the fitting of load levelling or weight distribution devices when used with a Nissan Genuine towbar. When fitted and used correctly, the Nissan Genuine towbar is capable of meeting the towbar/towball capacity stated in the above table.
