Aboriginal Labour Hire AgreementsBroome based Aboriginal organisations Nirrumbuk Aboriginal Corporation and Kullarri Regional Communities Incorporated (KRCI) have been engaged to provide a local Aboriginal labour force. Discussions are taking place to provide on-the-job training during the project to develop the skills and qualifications for locals to better access the job opportunities.

KRCI also has a footprint on the Dampier Peninsula with local offices based in Beagle Bay, Djarindjin and Ardyaloon.

In addition to Nirrumbuk’s labour hire agreement, Main Roads have contracted them to construct the turkey nest dams.

Job seekers are encouraged to approach either Nirrumbuk or KRCI for employment opportunities on the project.

Main Roads are referring Contractors to KRCI and Nirrumbuk to source Aboriginal workers.

Main Roads have been working very closely with the local Aboriginal communities in the region to maximise Aboriginal job opportunities for the project.
