Hi Penns Woods Painters!By now you all know that the com-pany that published Paintworks has closed their doors and the only painting magazine we have now is the Decorative Painter. This makes me so grateful to have our chapters as a place to go to for meetings and socialization and to share our love of painting. What other place can you have so many
different interests and styles come together in one place, where you can learn a new technique or find a new designer/artist that you find you must paint? It’s more important now that ever to support our chapter and its activities that so our industry continues to thrive and we can paint – paint – paint to our hearts content! Thank you to all of you that con-
tinue to come to our meetings and that have volunteered on com-mittees. Without all of us work-ing together we wouldn’t have the
wonderful opportunity to continue to learn and of course paint!! I thank you from the bottom of my heart!!

Seminars
September 2014 Memory Box Paint-InThank you to Lois Eckert for teaching the paint-in “GOLDEN TOUCHES” rose. We had 14members come out on a rainy day to paint. Everyone had a great time, enjoyed inspecting each members paintings, and wonder-ful fellowship. Please check out the pictures on the PWP face book page and further on in this news-letter. Our next Paint-In is the fes-tive “NOEL BANNER” and will be held on Saturday, October 18 to be taught by Fran Huffman. This
will make a very nice welcome banner for Christmas. We already have several members signed up and hope to have many more. I will have sign up forms at our next meeting on Saturday, September 20. We must have a minimum of nine members sign up for a paint-in and members are required to furnish our paint unless otherwise stated.

ways use your coupons. Purchase from JoAnns, Hancock or most any
fabbric store.
Penns Woods Painters 25th Anniversary
As a result of the first 25th An-niversary planning meeting that took place this past month, it can be reported that they are looking to contact a teacher (to be named
later) to check on her availability for an event that would take place when we normally have our Tea, next October. We are anticipating having a day and a half of painting leading into our “Tea Party” on the Sunday afternoon. The group will gather next on September 30th at 6:30 p.m. at the Camp Hill Giant Cafe.
Get ready. Wait until you see who we spotlight next newsletter!

ArtShow & Tea
Sun. October 26th, 2-4 p.m.R.S.V.P. by Sun. October 12thSo you saw this last newsletter. Did you remember to put this date on your calendar? The Annual Art Show and Tea is happening again. A memorable day to all spend together to admire one another’s art and talk about, among other things...painting! For those of you who haven’t been a part of this event before, get ready for a wonderful time together with your fellow PWP members. Members, you are invited to submit your art,(up to three entries) for the show. Everyone is invited to vote for their favorite in various categories. One Good Woman from Camp Hill will help add to the whole Tea part of our afternoon together. This will be a wonderful afternoon to share with one another our art, some good food and a spot of tea (or cof-fee, or lemonade, or....) Check for sign up sheets at the September meeting in case you could bring one of your favorite sweet treats to share with members. We will also need some help setting up things and taking things down, as well as running the show. Many hands will make light work, so plan to sign up.R.S.V.P. to Wendy Beckmann talk or text 717-676-1068 oremail: [email protected]
