When I entered my first semester in BUiD, I was conditionally accepted due to my previous TOEFL score. In order for me to become a permanent student, I was required to obtain a band 6 to continue as part of SDBE Masters program. It became apparent to me that classes were necessary to provide me with essential techniques regarding Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. The instructors helped us focus our time and energy towards dealing with each section of the test in the most efficient way possible. In actual fact, I got a 6.5 which was more than I needed. This course aims to improve students approaches towards the IELTS, not the students English Language level. Personally, I can guarantee that my score would not have been as high if it werent for the help of the highly qualified instructors. They have truly been patient and supportive every step of the way. I would like to thank Mary and Mr. Rawi for their continuous efforts to propel their students towards success. Finally, I am pleased to say I am delighted with my IELTS score and have been officially considered a permanent student in BUiD by achieving higher than the required score. I am well on the way to become a Master of Science in Sustainable Design of The Built Environment.
