Why Formsteel?

Less steel.At the core of Formsteel’s advantage is the use of high tensile

steel, creating an increase in “power-to-weight” ratio through

our patented beam solutions. A reduction in steel weight means

less raw material cost immediately – so you’re ahead before you

start, with no sacrifice on structural integrity.

Less sub-contractors.Our build partners’ teams can erect your building with their own

staff. Less parties equals a stronger team, better communication

and better outcomes.


Less transport.With less steel and less specialised equipment required to

erect the structure, there is less transport required to deliver

Formsteel’s system, shaving cost at every stage.

Less craneage,smaller cranes.In the crane hire world, the bigger the crane and the longer

you use it, the more it costs. Formsteel’s building system

can largely be erected by scissor lifts and lighter machinery,

reducing costs and removing the complexity of getting heavy

equipment on-site at the right time.


Why Formsteel?

Less foundation.With a lighter structure, Formsteel’s buildings can be erected

on a foundation using less concrete and on ground that doesn’t

require as high geo-technical demands. This means you can

build a Formsteel building in more places, using less concrete.

Less avian excrement.Yes, Bird poo can be a problem. If you’re storing equipment,

machinery, stock, clients property, work-in-progress or operating

a manufacturing plant in your building, the last thing you want

is birds roosting in your structure. It can cause corrosion, health

issues, and many other stinking problems. Formsteel’s buildings

are able to be 100% bird-proofed. Saving you all kinds of… well

you know what we mean.

More safety.The weight and brute-style construction of I-beams and

traditional structural steel create massive hazards on site. From

broken bones, to arc-eye, to falling cranes, to crush risk – It’s a

dangerous game. With Formsteel’s lighter, more simply erected

system, the hazards are significantly reduced. More safety means

happier staff and a smoother operation as your building is

erected on time, within budget.

More simplicity & speed.Did we mention our system is simple? Its simple. Can you operate

a drill? You’re likely qualified to put together most of a Formsteel

building. Our system is designed to be fool-proof, simplistic,

and easy to erect. We supply detailed instructions and training

programs to assist our build partners in ensuring a simple,

uncomplicated build process on your site.

The simplicity of the Formsteel system coupled with the lack of

complexity with hiring, delivery, foundations and many other

factors trim time from the build process. In fact – we may just be

Why Formsteel?

More space.Formsteel’s beams can offer a clear span of over 40m without extra

support, and vastly further with support columns. Our purlins and girts

are installed between the portals of the structure, rather than on the

exterior of the portal, giving a crucial space advantage especially in

heavily racked warehouses.

More fexibility.Formsteel’s system is incredibly versatile and can be adapted to work

with Gantry Cranes, Tilt Panels, and other fire-wall systems. We’re not

one-size fits all – but you could say we approach things armed with a

little elastic in the waistband.

requirements, offer advice and insights and help you

with planning this significant investment. At this stage,

if we cannot help you, we’ll let you know. And if we can,

we’ll certainly do that.

Very early on in the process Formsteel want you to feel

part of the team who are going on this journey. So we

align you very closely with a build partner who is a fit for

your location, expectations, values, and the outcomes

you’re looking for. We ensure that you are in safe,

Together we help you flesh out the concept you

have in your mind and bring it together as a

Together with your build partner, we connect you with

best advice for your needs and location in a timely fashion

and together bring your design together for a fixed price

Yes, our team and Build Partners handle working with

the council for you in order to get the best possible

service. This can take a lot of hassle and frustration

and delays from the process, as our Build Partners and

professionals know a few tricks of the trade.
