AWORDFROMTHEDIRECTOR
I have been Acting Director of theInstitute since November, 2007, andDirectorsince July1,2008.Inthattime,we have accomplished a number ofbeneLicialchangesinstitutionally:
‣ArestructuringofstaffresponsibilitiesandreallocationofofLicespace,wherebyour secretary, Barbara Gardner, fulLillsher duties in Goodbody 144, theanteroom of the library, and keeps thefacility open Monday‐Friday from 8:00a.m.‐5:00 p.m. Our two graduateassistants, Leland Rogers and DavidStraub, are busy cleaning out andreorganizing Goodbody 345 which willserve as their ofLice, the microformreading room, as well as storage formicroforms, libraryduplicates, and newbooksawaitingcataloguing.
‣ A reorganization of the library toinclude additional bookcases and acomplete shifting of books to open upshelfspacethroughout;theplacementofaxeroxmachineinthelibraryforpatronuse; a set‐aside space for recent CEUS‐faculty publications; and shelf spacefor materials on reserve for CEUScourses.
