Commencement of Bush Fire Danger Period

(a) Review Bush Fire Management Plan

(b) Ensure all Employees are trained in the evacuation procedure

(c) Ensure buildings and surrounding lands are prepared

(d) Confirm contact details for Emergency contacts and landowners are current

(e) Confirm off site evacuation locations

(f) Water trucks to remain full at end of each day

Procedures for Evacuation during a bush fire emergency

The Trigger to commence Evacuation Procedures is:

Evacuation order given by Site Manager (or Delegate)

(refer to attachment two for Site Manager duties)

(a) Evacuate call given over all radio channels

(b) Site Manager to confirm with Supervisor and Leading hands that all employees have been notified

(c) Site Manager (or delegate) to get copy of Daily Site sign on sheet

(d) All employees move to Bodangora Airfield

(e) Site Manager to conform all employees are in location at Bodangora Airfield

(f) Site Manager to contact RFS if any employees are missing and approximate work location

(g) When ‘All clear” is given by RFS – Site Manager and Supervisor to return and inspect site for potential safety issues

(h) Site Manager to give call for all employees to return to site

After the bush fire emergency

(a) When ‘All clear” is given by RFS – Site Manager and Supervisor to return and inspect site for potential safety issues

(b) Site Manager to give call for all employees to return to site

(c) Employees to inspect individual plant and equipment

(d) Report status of equipment and plant to Supervisor

(e) Damaged equipment/plant/buildings to be repaired

ATTACHMENT 2: INFORMATION POSTER

Bushfire Action Plan

Bodangora Wind Farm

FIRST RESPONDER

Upon finding a bushfire

• Emergency call on site radio (Channel #26)

• Notify others in the immediate area

• Notify Site Manager and Supervisor

If safe to do so:

• Use a fire extinguisher or water cart to extinguish the fire

• Prevent the fire from spreading

• Remove combustible materials from the path of the fire (dozer/grader etc)

• Ensure the fire is completely extinguished – do not leave the area unattended

After the fire is extinguished:

• Ensure that any equipment used in extinguishing the fire is checked and replaced as

necessary

If the fire cannot be extinguished

• Ring Emergency services (Fire Brigade – 000)

• Keep the area clear of bystanders and maintain a safe distance from the fire

• Listen to radio for site evacuation command

SITE MANAGER

• Ascertain details of fire

• Confirm 000 has been contacted

• Contact ALL site landowners/Infigen/CPP/Transgrid and inform them of the Fire

(Location, Size, direction of fire and direction of wind, if we are placing fire

breaks, evacuating site, offer assistance if safe to do so etc)

• If fire cannot be extinguished - Give command to evacuate site to Primary Evacuation

location - Bodangora Airfield. (refer to map)

• Take copy of sign on sheet to Bodangora Airfield and confirm all personnel are present.

• If personnel are not accounted for – pass the information directly to the responding RFS

unit.

• When the all clear is given by RFS - return to site and assess the damage and risk and

call employees back to site if safe to do so.
