By John Patrick Shanley Directed by Ron Zietz
In this brilliant and powerful drama, Sister Aloysius, a Bronx school principal, takes
matters into her own hands when she suspects Father Flynn of improper relations with one of the male students. The play looks deeply at the consequences of certainty versus doubt and the unalterable impact on the lives of
everyone involved.
Running 90 minutes in one act, this play is provocative and probing and will feature after-performance “Talk-Backs” with cast,
director and invited panelists on Saturday, June 1st and Friday, June 2nd.
“Without proof, the only certainty is doubt.”
Cast includes: Noni White, Stephen Riordan,
Titania (Tonya) DeVane and Rose Mallare
By Ken Ludwig
Mon & Tues, July 29 - 30, 2013 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the theatre.
Director Keven Renken is looking to cast: ●Saunders - General Manager of the Cleve-land Grand Opera Company, Maggie's father,
mid-fifties, authoritarian and very nervous ●Max - assistant to Saunders mid-thirties
●Maggie - Max's girlfriend late 20s, pretty, quirky ●Tito Merelli - a world-famous Italian tenor,
temperamental womanizer ●Maria - Tito's wife, busty, proud, excitable
●Bellhop - a bellhop, any age ●Diana - a soprano mid-thirties, very sexy
●Julia - Chairman of the Opera Guild, sixtyish
The Cleveland Grand Opera Company, is primed to wel-come world famous, Tito Morelli, the greatest tenor of his generation. The star arrives late and, through a hilarious series of mishaps, is given a double dose of tranquilizers and passes out. His pulse is so low that he is believed dead. In a frantic attempt to salvage the evening, we are left with up with two Otellos running around in costume, two women running around in lingerie, and an audience
roaring with laughter.

Raymond James on board again as 2013-2014 Season Sponsor
We are pleased to announce that Raymond James Financial will once again be our Season Sponsor with a generous donation of $12,500.
While this may seem to be a substantial amount, it is only a fraction of the amount needed to keep your thea-ter alive and well. St. Petersburg City Theatre is a non-profit theatre and your donations and ticket purchases go to pay for the production costs of our shows, which in-clude the cost of hiring directors, musical directors, cho-reographers, musicians, lighting designers, set designers and builders for each production. It covers the cost of set building materials, costumes and lighting equipment. A portion also pays for production rights, plus perform-ance and royalty fees, which can run into thousands of dollars. Last, but not least, a part of your support covers daily operating expenses, advertising & promotion.
Yes, you too can make the difference between medi-ocrity & excellence. We believe that for a society to survive, Theatre Arts (drama, comedy, music, dance) are critical. They provide a means to promote differing per-spectives and ideas while fostering creative thinking. and expression. Without The Arts, dialogue is squelched and the public at large is subjected to the worst kind of pov-erty - intellectual and vision.
We hope you are considering making a tax-free donation to City Theatre Programming. A donation of any size will help keep the doors open and make certain that we can continue all of our important programming.
