TOWNSHIP OF CHATSWORTH

By-law No. 2015-78

Being a By-Law to confirm the allowance paid to the Mayor and

Councillors of the Township of Chatsworth for expenses incident to

the discharge of their duties as members of the Township of

Chatsworth Council.

WHEREAS Section 283(5) of The Municipal Act, 2001as amended requires Council

to confirm that one third of the remuneration paid to Councillors in 2014 and beyond

shall continue to be considered as expenses;

WHEREAS Section 283(7) of The Municipal Act, 2001 as amended requires that this

be reviewed during each term of Council;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWNSHIP

OF CHATSWORTH HEREBY ENACTS;

1. That in accordance with The Municipal Act 2001 as amended the Council of the

Township of Chatsworth confirms that one third of the remuneration paid to the

elected members of council and its local boards shall continue as expenses

incident to the discharge of their duties as members of council or local board;

2. AND that this by-law shall be reviewed by Township Council at a public meeting

at least once during the four-year period corresponding the term of office of

Township Council.
