“The 6th Nova Poshta Kyiv International Halfmarathon 2016”
1. Day, time, location
Day: 17.04.2016
Time: 09:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Location: Kyiv, Kontraktova square
Start and finish place: Kontraktova square, 4 (opposite the restaurant “Puzata Khata”) 2. Competition aim
“Nova Poshta Kyiv Half Marathon 2016” (hereinafter – the Competition) is held with the aim to popularize and propagandize mass run events in Ukraine, as well as:
• popularize and propagandize a healthy way of life • develop mass sport • integrate Ukraine into the world running marathon movement
• inform, foster and motivate the Ukrainian audience, help it to achieve personal and sports aims, promote the growth of sports achievements among the great masses of population in
Ukraine
3. Organizers, patronage, sponsors
The non-profit organization “Run Ukraine” is the competition organizer.

The organizer establishes an organizing committee of its staff members, as well as attracts highly specialized experts in different sports.
The Organizing committee approves “Regulations” about the competition realization. The Organizing committee includes:

• Emergency medicine manager Vershyhora A. V. The Organizing committee approves the Regulations about the competition realization, as well as
makes supplements and amends to the Regulations. The Organizing committee is responsible for: - Data management for participants;
- Funds raising for the competition financing; - Document and material preparation for the Mandate commission work;
- Prize providing for the Competition winners and medallists; - Refereeing providing; - Lease of sports structures, premises and technical equipment for the competition realization;
- Organization of security measures and medical maintaining for the race; - Control of preparation and realization of the Competition, consideration of official objections
and controversial issues settlement, as well as consideration of documents and participation admission in the competition is entrusted with the Mandate commission.
The Mandate commission includes:
- The Organizing committee representative; - Meet chairman of the Competition;
- Chief physician of the Competition - Chief scorer of the Competition. The Competition Manger Chernitskyi D. L. is the head of the Mandate commission. Professional
sportsmen and experts are allowed to be invited to the commission. 4. Basic rules of the Competition realization
The Competition realization meets the Technical regulations in full:
In the track and field competition: The International Association of Athletics Federations (ІААF), the Association of International
Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS), the Ukrainian Athletic Federation (ФЛАУ), the Technical
regulations of the competition and appropriate decisions made by the competition organizer.
The competition organizer reserves the right to make changes to the competition program. The competition organizer guarantees the competition conduction in all weather conditions.
4.1 Basic rules :
The competition organizer reserves the right to cancel the competition (before or during
realization) due to force majeure.
The regulations and general terms is the official document acting as the agreement between the
organizer and participant of the competition.
Any offers, amendments and additions to this document may be sent to the competition
organizer e-mail: [email protected].
4.2 Health.
Each participant of the competition participates in the competition of his free will knowing all
possible risks for own health during and after its finish.
Each participant of the competition takes personal responsibility for his physical condition and
ability to finish the chosen distance of the competition.
Each participant of the competition (registered for 21.0975 km and more) must have a medical
certificate and insurance (at will) for the period of the competition realization.
Foreign citizens should provide a medical insurance covering participation in the sporting
competition.
The competition organizer shall not bear the responsibility for physical injuries, traumas,
physical condition worsening a participant suffers during the competition conduction.
The competition organizer shall not bear the responsibility for a participant’s physical condition worsening after the competition conduction.
The competition organizer shall not bear the responsibility for any losses (loss or damage of personal things) a participant suffers during the competition conduction.
The competition organizer shall not bear the responsibility for any losses, damages or any harm caused during the competition by participants or spectators of the competition.
5. Expenses on the competition organization and realization
The event is realized by means of sponsor and partner attracting, as well as by means of entry fee of the participants.
Expenses for fare, accommodation and meals bear the sending organizations or participants by
themselves, the organizers provide special conditions on the part of hotels offering affordable price of accommodation.
6. The event program
Starting package delivery for participants at spring SportExpoUA 2016:
from 12:00 to 8:00 p.m., April 15, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., April 16, 2016

7. Admittance conditions to competition
Admittance of the participants to the competition is carried out having the documents presented to
the Mandate commission when getting a participant starting package: - Printed and signed starting list (Starting list is available in the personal account or email box
after successful payment);
- Identification document proving a participant’s age (obligatory for all participants); - Document proving a participant’s right for free participation in the Competition or benefit for
entry fee payment. For the citizens of Ukraine: - Medical certificate original with stamp of the body, institution, sports medicine doctor’s
signature and stamp indicating a participant has admission for the chosen distance (obligatory only for all participants for 21.0975 km). The full list of the institutions which have a right to provide an admission
certificate for the Competition is presented in the Appendix 1 to the Regulations; The Mandate commission and chief physician of the Competition shall not accept the certificates
of other institutions.
For the foreign citizens: - Foreign citizens should provide a medical insurance covering participation in the sporting
competition.
Note! - If an identification document is missing, a bib and participant’s package shall not be delivered.
- Medical documents presented to the Mandate commission are not returned. - The commission accepts the medical certificate copy only in case of the original presenting. - Medical documents should be drawn up not earlier than 6 months before the competition.
- Participants of 18 years and over are allowed to 21.0975 km distance. A participant’s age is determined on the day of race conduction on the grounds of documents presented: April 17, 2016.
A general limit of participants at all distances is 10000 sportsmen. 8. Routes and track
The competition track lies across Kyiv combining two banks of Dnipro. Track covering: 97% -
asphalt, 3% - cobbles; general elevation - 172 meters. Start and finish of all distances is carried out at one place.
9. Competition registration
The participants are allowed to the competition granted duly and timely registration for the
competition. On-line registration is possible on the competition organizer web-site www.kyivmarathon.org. Electronic registration will be open from 06.10.2015 to 10.04.2016.
The competition organizer has a right to discontinue or completely stop the registration without a prior warning when the participant limit is reached.
A participant is regarded as registered after the application filling in and entry fee paying. Registration fee paid by the competition participant is not subject for refund in any circumstances,
for example: if a participant cannot participate in the competition, finish the chosen distance, meet the
time limit, as well as a participant is disqualified or the competition is cancelled due to force majeure and etc.
A participant’s registration will be cancelled, if he presents inaccurate and/or wrong data during the registration. In case of registration cancelling the funds are not returned.
Paid registration couldn’t be cancelled and/or changed for another person and an entry fee is not
returned.
10. Entry fee
Entry fee for 21.0975 km distance: 350 UAH to February 21, 2016 Entry fee for 21.0975 km distance: 450 UAH from February 22 to March 31, 2016
Entry fee for 21.0975 km distance: 550 UAH from April 1 to 10, 2016
The entry fee price does not include remittance charge. The Competition participants pay the entry fee by e-payment on the organizer’s web-site
runukaine.org.
11. Entry fee refund
Funds paid for registration fee are not refunded under the Public offer agreement a participant agrees with registering for the event.
12. Personal data
Each participant of the competition agrees his personal data, photo, video or audio materials with
his participation and without his coordination may be used for the event advertising without any remuneration by the competition organizer.
All photo and video materials of the competition available for the organizer may be used by the
competition organizer as subsidiary documents proving accuracy of the competition results and cases of the competition rules breaching.
13. Starting packages, receiving of starting packages
Delivery of starting packages will be carried out on April 15-16, 2016, at EXPO.
A participant’s “starting package” for 21.0975 km distance includes:

A participant should receive the ordered goods at the days of staring package delivering. The
ownership right for goods is transmitted to a participant at the date of starting package delivering regardless of his presence or absence. If he does not arrive, the organizers shall keep the goods within one
calendar month from the race date. A participant could receive the goods personally from the organizers or send the goods by post at his expense within the calendar month from the race day. As one calendar month from the race date is over, the organizers shall bear no responsibility for the goods keeping and
they shall have the right to utilize the goods at any moment. The competition participants receive starting packages personally showing a start list and
identification document. The competition participant who was not able to participate in the competition may get starting
package within 10 banking days after the competition in the competition organizer office informing him
by e-mail [email protected]. Or requesting to send starting package to the indicated address. Starting package delivery is carried out at the client’s cost. The organizer may attract sponsors for
free delivery. 14. Results and registration
The event is served by: - Electronic timing service;
- Referees by means of manual timing only for first 5 men and 5 women.
The organizers warns the electronic timing service has a certified percentage of result loss – not
more than 3 per cent of general number of chips. The Competition organizing committee does not guarantee a personal result delivery for each
participant in the following cases: - Participant attached bib wrongly; - Participant ran with somebody else’s bib;
- Bib is torn, crumpled and etc.; - Electronic chip was unmagnetized, torn, crumpled etc.;
- Bib loss. During all distance a bib should be in the condition it was delivered. It is strictly prohibited to
remove, close and damage it (cut, bend and etc.).
The competition organizer should place on the web-site the preliminary competition results not later than the next day after the competition on the web-site kyivmarathon.org.
The competition participants may appeal against the preliminary results within 5 calendar days after the competition preliminary result publication to the competition organizer e-mail: [email protected].
After this term is over the competition preliminary results (with changes if any) are considered as final.
15. Time limit
In the track and field races the time limit is as follows:
• in halfmarathon (21.0975 km) - 3 hours.
• 10 km run — 1 hour 20 minutes.
• 5 km run — 40 minutes.
• 2 km run — 20 minutes.
• 100 m, 500 m, 1000 m run — no.
The competition participants not following the time limit are withdrawn from the distances and may continue to move outside the competition track (pavements, foot walks and etc.) following the highway regulations of Ukraine.
16. Track and field athlete team competition (teams and relay races)
Mixed teams of commercial and private organizations including 4 persons aged 16 years and older
are allowed to participate in the relay race.
If the organization cannot find 4 participants, it may involve the volunteers.
All four participants of the team must participate in the relay race competition. The team is considered as registered when its representative filled in the application, registration
form and paid an entry fee for the team.
The participant order for the stages of relay races is indicated during the registration. The
participant order may be changed by April 10, 2016 inclusive on the web-site runukraine.org, in a personal profile.
During the relay race all switchovers should be done in the exchange zone.
Breach of each abovementioned rule will lead to the disqualification of the whole team. The relay race result is the result of the participant of the last fourth stage of the relay race at the
finish. The team event result is a sum of official results of all four participants of the team.
Participation in the corporate relay race is paid by bank transfer under the organizer’s bill. The
documents confirming the payment should be sent by e-mail [email protected] not later than 10 days before the competition. All questions regarding the organization of corporate relay race should be sent by e-mail [email protected].
17. Nutrition and hydration points
Nutrition and hydration points are at 5; 10; 15 km and at the finish. Water, medical aid, food,
washrooms, volunteer aid is available in the points.
18. Special categories
18.1 Free registration is available for participants of military operations and veterans, 1, 2
category disabled persons for all types of distances, except 2 km.
18.2 Preferential registration for the running club members:
- the members of running clubs have a 15% discount of actual cost of registration at the
payment date regardless of the participant number
18.3 Preferential registration is available for other categories of the citizens of Ukraine:
- for inland displaced persons from ATO zone;
- for pensioners (women aged from 55 years and men aged from 60 years).
Special cost of registration:
- for distance 21.0975 km - 280 UAH.
NOTE: from February 23 to April 1, 2016 the registration cost for preferential categories of
participants will not change.
A participant should draw up an individual application writing a letter to
[email protected], indicated in the subject “Special category”.
It is necessary to attach the documents accordingly to your preferential category during
application sending: copy of passport, pensioner’s ID, certificate of a participant of military operations,
pensioner’s ID of a disabled person, a special certificate from inland displaced person from ATO zone.
Registration packages and preferential registrations are given out of special quotas (not more than
50 persons). If during the registration of the competition participants a participant does not meet the stated
special category, the registration is cancelled with no remuneration by the competition organizer.

19. Election of winners and medallists
The election of winners and medallists of the Competition among the athletes is realized according
to finish under the article No. 165.24 (IAAF regulations).
20. Winner awarding
The organizer determines the prizes for each distance at the organizer discretion.
The race medallists are awarded in cash and noncash within 14 calendar days from the moment of competition finish. Payment is transferred to the winner banking account or in cash in the office of the
race organizer: Kyiv, Sholudenko str., 1-Б, office 420. Money reward is paid only the winner presented the Organizer the original and copy of personal documents: passport, personal tax number and statement on money reward. The winner and Organizer shall sign an appropriate document proving the fact of
money reward.
The participant awarding may be postponed if the participant does not appear to prize-giving ceremony in his age-group. In this case the organizer sends the prize at the organizer’s expense to the address the participant indicated while registering.
The Competition organizing committee will not bear the responsibility for prize delivery if the
participant indicated wrong address. The winners and medallists receive commemorative prizes.
The participant of the marathon distance awarded in all-round cannot be awarded for medal place
in his age-group.
All participants at the marathon distance who managed the time allowed receive commemorative
medal at the finish.
Track and field distances
At 21.0975 km distance prizes are given for 1-5 places for men and women in all-around.

Determination in age group is carried out by the participant real age at the moment of the Competition realization.
Winners and medallists get commemorative prizes. Note: prizes are not given for all-round winners at 21.0975 distance from 1 to 5 place women and
men in age groups.
21. Objections and claims. Terms of objections and claims
The participant has a right to lodge an objection or claim heard by the board of justices including:
a chief judge, senior judge of start-finish zone and chief secretary.
Objections and claims may include: - Objections and claims influencing the placement; - Objections and claims regarding the inaccuracy of time the participant run distance;
- Objections and claims regarding the participant disqualification for unsportsmanship behaviour. Other claims may be disregarded by the commission because of their insignificance (misprints,
incorrect personal data and etc.). Lodging the claim it is necessary to indicate the following data:
- Surname and name (anonymous claims are not heard); - Claim nature (what the claim refers to); - Materials proving mistake (photo-, video materials).
Data of individual time measures are not considered.
The Competition participants or the third parties who are the official representatives of the participants may lodge the claims only.
Terms of objections and claims and way of their lodge:
The objections and claims affecting the placement in all-around are taken by the board of justices in written or oral form from the moment of winner posting and before the official medal ceremony.
The placement after the medal ceremony may be revised by the board of justices only the facts of effective regulations breaching by the winner were revealed if the breaching revealing was not possible before the medal ceremony.
The Competition Manager takes a decision about the placement revision. The participant has a right to lodge objection or claim regarding the other issues in the period from
the Competition finish within 3 calendar days.
Objection or claim should be sent in a written form by email [email protected].
22. Disqualification
The board of justices has a right to disqualify the participant in the case: - A participant ran with the registered number of other participant;
- A participant shortened the distance; - A participant run the distance he was not registered for;
- A participant used expedient means of transport (bicycle, scooter, auto-means for transportation and etc.);
- A participant started race before the official start;
- A participant started race after the starting zone was closed; - A participant run to the finish after the finish zone was closed;
- A participant started race not in the starting zone; - A participant ran without the Competition official number; - A participant showed unsportsmanship behaviour.
23. Business trip certificates
The representative of TOP RUN LLC will put a business trip mark on the business trip certificate
only when the participant’s package is received in a day before the competition.
24. Information sources
Detailed information about the Competition is placed on the official web-site
www.kyivmarathon.org. The Competition organization committee shall not bear the responsibility for the information on
the other information resources.
