A Preguntar y dar información personal entre dos personas (revisión general) : nombre completo, diminutivo (nick
name), estado civil, nacionalidad, origen, ocupación, lugar de estudio, e-mail, etc.
G: Hello! I’m Gloria Gomez. What is your full name?
C: Hi! My name is Carlos Martinez. Nice to meet you, Gloria.

Recuerda que…. - Para hacer preguntas personales se utilizan dos tipos de preguntas, una que utiliza is o are y otra
utilizando do, observa las preguntas de arriba y nota la diferencia y cuando se usa cada una. - Se utiliza is o are para preguntar información personal tal como nombre, apellido, nombre completo,
origen, estado civil, edad, correo electrónico, música / deporte / personaje / color favorito. Los ejemplos están de color morado.
- Se utiliza do cuando la pregunta tiene un verbo. Los ejemplos están de color verde y los verbos están subrayados.

B Preguntar y dar información personal sobre una tercera persona masculina o femenina: familiar o amigo / amiga:

Recuerda que….
-si se habla de una persona masculina, se utiliza HE como
sujeto, es decir antes del verbo.
-si se habla de pertenencia de una persona masculina, se
utiliza HIS que significa su de él.
-si se habla de una persona femenina, se utiliza SHE como
sujeto, es decir antes del verbo.
-si se habla de pertenencia de una persona femenina, se
utiliza HER que significa su de ella.
’s significa de (pertenencia) Ejemplos: Your best friend’s name = el nombre de tu mejor amigo/a
Your sister’s name = el nombre de tu hermana
His mother’s name = el nombre de su mamá
Her father’s name = el nombre de su papá
-para hacer preguntas sobre un hombre o una mujer (tercera persona del singular) se utiliza el auxiliar does cuando hay una acción, es decir un verbo: work / play / speak/ study / see / start / finish / etc.)
-para dar información afirmativa de una tercera persona en singular, se debe poner la terminación apropiada a los verbos. Ejemplos:
plays...
He starts…
studies…
She speaks…
likes…
works…
goes...
finishes…
Recuerda que….
Se utiliza is para preguntar información personal
tal como nombre, apellido, nombre completo, origen, estado civil, edad, correo electrónico, música / deporte / personaje / color favorito. Los ejemplos están de color morado.
Se utiliza does cuando la pregunta tiene un verbo y
se Los ejemplos están de color verde y los verbos
están subrayados.

C Se dicen los adjetivos y sus opuestos…
A: What’s the opposite for big?
B: It’s small.

Recuerda que…. - Para comparar personas, objetos, animales, lugares, etc., se utiliza el comparativo del adjetivo y la palabra than.
Ejemplos de comparación de personas:
Eduardo is taller than Daniel and Luisa. Daniel is more intelligent than Luisa. Luisa is
smarter than Eduardo. Eduardo is a better student than Daniel and he gets better grades
than Luisa. Luisa is friendlier than Daniel. Eduardo is nicer than Daniel. Daniel is more
introverted and quieter than Luisa and Eduardo. Luisa and Eduardo are more sociable.

Ejemplos de comparación de lugares:
A: What do you think about Veracruz and Orizaba?
B: Veracruz is bigger than Orizaba. Orizaba is more peaceful than Veracruz. Veracruz is hotter than Orizaba. Orizaba is cleaner than Veracruz and jarochos are more extroverted than orizabeños.
A: You are right. Orizaba is smaller than Veracruz. Veracruz is livelier than Orizaba. Orizaba is colder than Veracruz. Veracruz is dirtier than Orizaba. Orizabeños are shier than jarochos. I like Orizaba better.
B: I like Veracruz better because it is more exciting. I don’t mind it is more polluted.
Ejemplos de comparación de ropa:
What do you think about jeans and pants?
In my opinion, jeans are more fashionable, more casual and more popular than pants. Pants are more
expensive and more formal. I love jeans because they are more versatile.

Ejemplos de superlativo con lugares:
old / good / lively / exciting / interesting / popular / hot / clean
I think Paris is the most exciting city in Europe.
In my opinion, Venice is the most romantic city in the world.
Rome is the oldest city in Europe.
London is the most expensive place in Europe.
Lucerne is the most popular town in Switzerland.
Brussels is the best place to live.
The cleanest city in Switzerland is Interlaken.

Examples:
Olive Oyl is thinner than Alice The Goon. In fact, Olive is the thinnest of them.
