Dear Parents What a fabulous day we had for the annual P&F Lapathon last Friday. The aroma of barbecued sausages enticed all students to tuck in to the P&F gifted repast with gusto, the colourful tented atmosphere, created by a myriad of our generous hearted parent volunteers, set the scene superbly and then came the very enthusiastic runners – the main characters for the afternoon – our Year 1-3 students, followed by the Years 4-6 children. The warm afternoon did not curtail the energy or pace of our lapathoners’. They gave it their all. A very big THANK YOU to our students for your unstinting engagement in the event. The staff and students would like to thank our two main coordinators, Emma Taylor and Karen Wilsoncroft, and all of the P&F and the many parents who contributed their time and enthusiasm to help create the wonderful community spirit that this event brings to the school. We thank you too for the additional resources this P&F fundraising event will provide for our literacy learning areas. Last week the children from Kindy through to Year 6 commenced their designing of the paving stones commissioned’, so to speak, by the Student Council of 2017. This was achieved under the guidance of Mrs Natalie Zuchetti, our resident mosaic artist. Natalie is in this week all day on Wednesday and Friday and on Thursday morning to start the process of laying the glass tiles onto the pavers, replicating the childrens designs. She will be working with small groups of children over the next couple of weeks as they place the tiles on and then later with the TERM 4 WEEK 5 – 7 November 2017 CALENDAR OF EVENTS WEEK 5 WEEK 6 Mon 6 Tues 7 Wed 8 Thurs 9 Fri 10 Dancing Yrs 4-6 Kindy 2018 Parent Info Night - 6:30pm P&F Meeting TRANSFERRED TO NEXT WEEK Swimming Yrs 1-5 Dads Night 6:30pm Assembly Yr 5 - Remembrance Day Mon 13 Tue 14 Wed 15 Thurs 16 Fri 17 Mon 20 Dancing Yrs 4-6 Kindy 2018 Orientation 1pm School Board Meeting Mass Yrs 5 & 6 My Robot Excursion - PP & Yr 1 P&F Meeting Swimming Yrs 1-5 Assembly Yr 3 Kings Park Excursion Yr 5 Upcoming Events AGM 7pm Newsletter Attachments (Electronic version only): Parent Volunteers Thank You Morning Tea Invite Thank You Lapathon Sponsors grouting process.
