TERM FOUR COMPLETION - FRIDAY DECEMBER 20th As the 2019 school year comes to an end we would like to thank the CGPS community for the

ongoing support and those that have contributed to the school in such a positive way. Staff and

students very much appreciate the ongoing support from our community in a variety of activities.

To all families, have a safe and relaxing Christmas break, spending time with family and friends.

For any families travelling, stay safe and look forward to the beginning of 2020. Last Day of Term 4 is Friday 20th December- 1.15pm dismissal.

We understand and acknowledge that the temperature on Friday is predicted to be extreme.

We respect the decision of families that decide to keep children at home on this day.

GRADE SIX GRADUATION Congratulations to our graduating Grade 6 students that celebrated in style on Monday evening. Students

should be extremely proud of all achievements over their primary journey and how beautifully speeches were

presented at the graduation ceremony. Thank those involved in the set up and organisation to ensure such a

successful night. On behalf of the CGPS Community we wish our Grade 6 graduates all the very best for the

future.

WHOLE SCHOOL CELEBRATION - THURSDAY DECEMBER 19th Tomorrow afternoon we will be enjoying a session at the YMCA in Eaglehawk. We will have an

early lunch where we will provide a BBQ lunch and Icy Pole, before starting a shuttle by bus from

12 noon. We are asking families to collect children from 2.30-2.45pm from the pool. Please make

sure you sign out with classroom teachers when you collect children. What a great way to finish

our year!

This past week was a special one. We celebrated a number of different birthdays in order to ensure that all children who were not in After School Care on their birthday or have a birthday in the holidays were given the opportunity to have a celebration with the rest of us. Happy birthday to Riley, Anika, Nevaeh, Morag and Ruby. Celebrating all these birthdays meant that most of the activities this week were chosen by the children whose birthdays we were celebrating which meant that we spent a lot of time in the Computer Room. Aside from this, we also played in our room using the dress ups which lead to a very giggly pink owl, a ballet dancing dragon and a billionaire Spiderman. This was very amusing and we all had a great time last Friday night. The children also created their own water catcher and experimented with different food colourings and smells to see what different colours, shapes and smells they could create. They were all very successful young scientists! A reminder to parents and guardians that there is NO After School Care on Friday, which is the last day of term.
