CALL for PAPERS To assess the technological components and logistical requirements of a 21st century combatant the Open NATO Future Soldier Workshop will evaluate the equipment needed by dismounted soldiers and small units to fight effectively and survive and win on the modern battlefield - not only as inter-operable weapons platforms, but as a networked intelligence sensor. Presentation of the on-going and future Soldier system projects and their individual parts, as well as challenges in the new material, laboratory testing and technologies, and world-premiere presentation are welcome. Areas of military expertise centre on: discussions on new technologies, new fabrics and materials, new trends in combat clothing and integrated CBRN protection; lightweight ballistics, fragmentation; flash and fire; concealment; noise and laser protection; Environment; Load-carrying Systems, Exoskeleton, Artificial Intelligence/Robotics; Head Borne Systems; Soldier burden; Army rations; Small Arms, Light weapons and Ammunition, Weapon lights; Communication and ID devices; Integration Options and setting tactical data for national soldier systems.
