Members of the Cambridge Sax Quintet shared a little Holiday joy with residents of Brookdale Assisted Living over the weekend.

Cambridge Student Premier “A Simple Truth” The film, "A Simple Truth" is a drama/suspense feature film made entirely by a teenage cast and crew. The film explores the lives and hardships of high school students, touching on issues such as substance abuse, peer pressure, and bullying. While this film is very much about teen life, its central theme can and should be applied to everyone. Simply put, this film encourages empathy and compassion for others, which in this day and age, is something everyone needs. You can learn more about the film here.

Cambridge Students Place Second in “Heads Up Buckle Up” PSA Contest

Congratulations to Claire Bowman and Matthew Smoltz on a second-place finish in the Heads UpBuckle Up PSA contest run by GPB. This is highly

competitive, and winners were announced during the GHSA championship games this weekend. Claire was interviewed “live” right before the 6A

championship game.

Second Semester Schedule Corrections and Holes

Please log-in to Infinite Campus Student and review your Semester 2 schedule for completeness. A schedule correction/hole may consist of, but is not limited to one of the following: I am scheduled for a class for which I have already earned credit, AND/OR I have two of the same classes, AND/OR I have not met the prerequisite for the course, AND/OR I am missing a course required for graduation, AND/OR I am missing a lunch period or class period. SENIORS ONLY: Counselors will be available in the Student Center during Final Exam Week to assist you with schedule corrections and fill holes in your schedule. UGA Young Scholars Program

The Young Scholars Program (YSP) is a premier six-week internship program for Georgia’s high school juniors and seniors interested in exploring Science, Technology, and Math through research in agricultural, food and environmental sciences. The 2020 YSP summer internship program will be held June 1 to July 10, 2020, on the University of Georgia’s (UGA) Athens, Griffin, and Tifton campuses. This program is delivered through the Office of Diversity Affairs in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. The Young Scholars Program has three goals: (1) expose Georgia’s high school students to research and careers in agricultural sciences (2) recruit students to UGA’s College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences; and (3) increase exposure and cultivate interests in agricultural sciences among students from underrepresented minority populations. We welcome all students to apply.

Students can access their PSAT score report by logging into psat.org/myscore.

The site houses the full PSAT score report, has tools to explore colleges and programs, and allows students to link their scores to Khan Academy for free individualized online prep for the SAT. Scholarship information is available on this site as well.
