3. Post a report. Project reports are emailed directly to donors—notify your supporters about this matching opportunity.
4. Email your supporters early on Bonus Day. There are limited funds available! Get started early--matching begins at 9:00:01 EDT. Emphasize the importance of giving now. Share the direct link to your project page.
5. Build excitement on your Facebook and Twitter! Update your fans and followers throughout the day. Ask donors to comment once they’ve made a donation.
6. Reach out to large donors personally via email or phone. GlobalGiving matches up to $1,000 per donor per project.

Are you ready for holiday and year-end fundraising? It’s not too early to start thinking about this important fundraising time of the year. Sign up for a one-on-one call with a member of the GlobalGiving team to talk about your organization’s year-end fundraising.
2015 GlobalGiving Campaign Calendar
November In the U.S., donors must give by December 31st in order for their donations to qualify for 2015 tax-exemption. During the month of December, your supporters are also looking for gifts for popular American holidays, Christmas and Hanukkah. Year-end fundraising traditionally begins on Cyber Monday, the Monday after Thanksgiving, but it starts to ramp up several weeks before.
Get ready by making a strategy!
Set goals. Give yourself a specific monetary and donor goal that you can use to evaluate your progress.
Mobilize through a campaign. You won’t be the only organization fundraising this holiday season. Use a campaign to galvanize support.
Create a communications calendar. Think strategically about important dates in November and December—Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday, etc. Determine how you are going to communicate with your donors—email, Facebook, Twitter, etc.—and when.
Develop your messaging. Make your messages about your beneficiaries—what they need and how your donors can help—not about you and your organization. Include a clear call to action and a link to your project page in each of your messages.
Read additional tips here.
The average American organization raises 35% of their
annual income in November and December. Are you ready?
The deadline to apply for the
Year-End Campaign
is Friday, November 20th! This campaign is a great opportunity to engage your supporters in the most important fundraising month of the year.
