Math Resource Center Open to students needing assistance w/100-level math courses. Organic Chemistry Learning Center Open to any student needing help with introductory organic chemistry classes. All help is provided on a drop-in basis by teaching assistants from the organic chemistry lab courses. Student Support Services Open to students who are first generation (neither parent holds a four-year college degree), low income as determined by federal guidelines (e.g. Pell-eligible) and students with documented disabilities. This office assists with a variety of needs both in and outside the classroom. Transformative Learning Math Matters (managing time and math anxiety, taking notes, preparing for an exam, applying math to the real world): 6:00PM-7:00PM Mondays in B110 W.T. Young Library Power Hours (succeeding in a large lecture, successful citations, time management and goal setting, critical reading strategies, effective speech delivery, eportfolios): 6:00PM-7:00PM Tuesdays & Thursdays in B110 W.T. Young Library Writing Center Open to all students needing assistance with essays, papers, posters, visuals, websites, slide presentations, videos and/ or podcasts. The center is staffed by graduate students, full- time instructors, part-time consultants and undergraduate peer consultants. HEALTH & SAFETY UK Counseling Center The counseling center offers confidential psychological counseling to all currently enrolled UK students. For any reason, if you would like to make an appointment or speak to a counselor, please walk in to 106 Frazee Hall or call (859) 257- 8701, Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm. For urgent psychological concerns after hours, please call (859) 257-8701 and you will be connected to a mental health professional.
