Medication screen shows that all future issues have been stopped (pending cancellation icon)

Note: 19th April (Issue 1 of 6) is not marked for cancellation
The repeat template has been stopped – Amlodipine is no longer on Repeat Templates screen.
If the same medication item needs to be issued on repeat again it will need to be restarted as a
repeat.
EPS Tracker – will confirm status of each of the batches
Shows that ‘Issue 1 of 6’ had already been downloaded by pharmacy but item 1 marked for
cancellation

‘Electronic Prescription Cancellation Rejected’ task received
Rejection task because at least one of the batches in this ERD cannot be cancelled
Practice should call the pharmacy to advise them of cancellation and request they return script that
is ‘With Dispenser’ (i.e. in the pharmacy but not yet dispensed to the patient) to spine.
Pharmacy returns ‘Issue 1 of 6’ to spine. This allows the pending cancellation to be applied to the
item, and a subsequent cancellation task is received.
‘Electronic Prescription Cancelled Successfully’ task received – which can now be marked completed.

Still only lists issues 2-6 as cancelled (not 1 of 6).

‘Issue 1 of 6’ showing it had been with dispenser at point of cancellation (10:28), so was rejected,
but pharmacy returned it (11:05), allowing the subsequent cancellation to be applied for the item
(11:05).
Clicking on the subsequent cancellation line shows Item 1 is cancelled
But item 2 is still available to be pulled back down by the pharmacy to dispense – this batch and the
5 other ‘future instance’ batches now only contain Item 2 (Lisinopril).

‘Issue 1 of 6’ could now be manually downloaded by the pharmacy to dispense the remaining item.
‘Issue 2 of 6’ shows item 1 cancellation has been applied
