She and fellow care professional Donna Gott have launched Bradford- based Care Dynamics (YorkshAe). They have already recruited a network of registered care rnanagers, team lead- ers, support workers and personal assis- tants. Cheryl said: "Care Dynamies can assist customers and families to'explore alternatives to the traditional model of respite. This might be at home, where support staff take on the carers'role, or support on a short break or holiday. "We differ from other social care agen- cies because we are setting up a cus- tomer eommittee, which will be fully involved with the future plans and direction of Care Dynamics. "Our mission is to create more choice, freedom and control. We passionately believe in finding the best solutions to our customers' ever-changing social care needs. It's an approach designed to both support and enable people to take control of how their services are planned and delivered." Donna added: "Our extensive experi- ence and knowledge means we are well aware of what's required in the regional - *11 $+citrI Csre ::lr- *:11:':e: social care arena. We are also able to support people in receipt of individual budgets and will invite customers to be involved in the recruitment of their own staff. "We believe that every single person, regardless of severity of need or disabil- ity has the abili8 io grow, learn and develop. This can be enhanced by ensur- ing that people have access to their com- munities and to mainstream services. "While care is our key remit, we are also providing local jobs for local peo- ple. We still require new stafl who will receive comprehensive training. The best care and support can only come through the best-trailed and best-moti- vated sta.ff."
