Students who completed designated CTE courses in the above high school program may qualify for specific

college credits after enrolling at Palm Beach State College and declaring one of the following program codes:

Associate Degree in:

Graphic Design Technology (AS 2011)

Student must meet all Palm Beach State College admission requirements* into one of the college certificate

or AS degree programs listed above and present evidence of:

● A standard high school diploma - students must apply and register at Palm Beach State College within two years of completing high school in Palm Beach County (students working in field may petition for a waiver of the two-year rule)

AIR CONDITIONING, REFRIGERATION AND HEATING TECHNOLOGY (HVAC/R)-Partial

Students who completed designated CTE courses in the above high school program may qualify for specific

CCP V credits after enrolling at Palm Beach State College and declaring one of the following program codes:

Postsecondary Adult Vocational Certificate in:

Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (CCP 5267)

Student must meet all Palm Beach State College admission requirements* into the CCP certificate program

listed above and present evidence of: ● A standard high school diploma - students must apply and register at Palm Beach State College

within two years of completing high school in Palm Beach County (students working in field may petition for a waiver of the two-year rule)

● “C+” (2.5) grade average or better in the specified high school/secondary coursework

● College Placement testing requirements as needed (visit www.PalmBeachState.edu/testing) - TABE

● Completed college preparatory course requirements as needed

● Completed required assessment(s)--see the Program Manager for HVAC (See Appendix A) for details of assessment and final evaluation of credit to be granted by Palm Beach State College

*The SACS accreditation requirement for residency “Complete 25% of the program at Palm Beach State College” has already been satisfied and is not required to obtain the articulation credits. Students who completed the high school courses, but fail the stated assessment will have to take the college level courses and earn a passing grade on them to obtain the contact hours or credit.

Once competency has been established, the student will articulate credit for ACR0501 Air-Conditioning, Refrigeration and Heating Helper 125 Clock hours.
