Industry has recognized care delivered in the home setting is the most cost

effective care available. Due to the focus on managing the patients overall cost

of care, there has been an increase in the volume and complexity of care

provided in the home setting.

1. The aging population of the United States

Bureau of Labor Statistics reported employment levels in 2014 and projected

growth by 2024. Three of the top ten occupations were Personal Care Aides,

Home Health Aides and Nursing Aides. All three occupations focus on providing

care for elderly patients and are appropriately referred to as 'Caregivers'.
