2. Limerick

The Flying Boy

There once was a boy who could fly

With all the birds in the sky

He saw a big pig

That was doing a jig

So he waved to the pig and said “Hi!”

Writing A Poem

Writing a poem what to do

My pencil can’t think of anything

Writing a poem what to do

An idea is what I need

Writing a poem what to do

The hardest thing ever is this

Writing a Poem what to do

Like a rock my brain sits but does not think

Writing a poem what to do

My imagination is plugged

But suddenly

Like magic

I start to write

5. Ode

An Ode to Friends

When I’m sad you cheer me up

When I’m mad you calm me down

When I feel that no one understands me

You do

When I feel everyone is against me

You aren’t

I don’t say this enough

But you are special

You share your joy with me

And make you me feel

Like you need me

And I need

You

6. Final Poem

What’s Within My Head

I lay my head down on my pillowAnd take a journey into my head

Right into dream worldWhile laying on my bed

Where monsters and fairiesAre all very real

Where exchanging pixie dustIs like making a deal

And there are also memoriesOf the distant past

From learning how to ride a bikeTo getting my first cast

Sadly there’s scare landWhere all my fears enjoy

Making fun of peopleAnd scaring little boys

But now I must wake upSo I wave goodbye

“How was your sleep?” My mom asks I roll my eyes and sigh
