Create two mirror images of this bird for a double-sided ornament. • Position the body on the back and tack with brown floss. • Add the neck and tack with white floss. • Position the beak and tack with black floss. • Position the brows, so they slightly overlap the beak and tack with white floss. • Position the eye and tack with an "x" and finish off with a seed bead if desired. • Position the wing and tack around the edges with a brown running or blanket stitch. Add the decorative running stitches to the wing and tail with brown floss. • Sew the lazy daisy stitches on the wing and body in alternating black and white stitches. • Sew the two body pieces together with a brown blanket stitch, pausing about 1.5 inches before finishing and lightly stuff with fiberfill before finishing.
